Cameras, action! Fatal Frame IV dated for Japan - Nintendo Wii Fanboy



Can't wait for a US release. I never got around to getting the earlier Fatal Frame games, and this is easily the best looking Wii game yet. Hopefully the story can be followed without knowing the previous ones, though.

Sweeetness...this is like the best horror game series I've ever played...I've never actually jumped so much playing any other game. Too bad we won't see this for like...2 years...>.< ; ; Damn you Japan for taking all the good stuff and only giving it to us after you've used and abused it ; ;

Big mistake! As for the story, if 4 follows the pattern of the previous games, you don't have to know what happened in the earlier ones to follow the plot. FF3 heavily drew from themes from both FF1 and FF2, but even there being familiar with the previous games was not needed even though it could potentially add to the enjoyment.

Also, as far as I know, FF4 will have an European setting, so it probably has only a loose connection with the previous games that are set in Japan. I'm going to miss my kimono-clad ghosts for sure, though.

I love Fatal Frame. Hopefully it's better made than FF3.
