and yeah Zelda II: awakening, to me atleast, was horrible. and I wasnt too big of a fan of The first either :/ (but then again, its edged in my memory because my family played it all the time)

oh and the original Mario series.....Awesome.

It just depends, I guess, on what context you're considering these things best in. Were they best at the time, because they were so new and innovative? Or are they best now, because they are still awesome?

The best games for me were the ones I enjoyed playing, either alone, or with my friends. Much more important to me than graphics, or particular issues of functionality.

Yeah...i remember i played with my VB for a few days then kinda put it down.

and SWEETS!!! my old yoda and R2D2 giga pets still work!! i'm so gonna put these on my key chain...lol

Wasn't shadowgate the one where you're in the castle and have to use clues to advance rooms?
I played that a couple years ago. Going back, it was okay, few parts where logic is just thrown out the window and you're expected to just try everything until something works.
