    "Well there's your problem."

It certainly doesn't appeal to everyone, but there are some pretty crappy demos out there, Ratchet & Clank Future being one of them. Unfortunately it's really not indicative of the full game's experience.

I liked the R&C demo, actually. It's not nearly representative of the full game, since all of the good weaponry is locked and you don't see any of the cool mission modes or bosses, but it does show off the graphics and basic controls.

Yeah, but unfortunately what separates Future from the last few games are things like the perfected level design, solid weaponry upgrade system, excellent dialogue and a pretty great story. The demo contains virtually none of those things so it doesn't really help anyone familiar with the basic gameplay to understand what makes it a great game.

Yeah, demos aren't the whole game, but demos should try to get me excited about the game.

Heavenly Sword demo was exciting, actually got me thinking about a PS3. R&C Future just showed me I was in for more of the same. Zzzzzz. Sony is just as guilty of sameness as most companys, they just beat the horse dead a lot faster than Nintendo or MS could.

Ya well they are guilty of sameness because its tried and true whats the R+C series at now 3 on the PS2 1 on PSP 1 on PS3 they are all pretty much alike. But its no different when it comes to Halo 1,2,3 they are pretty well the same. Or Super Mario 1- 1,000,000 (i think that was the number of the most recent one.) Sameness is a spawn of players, if something works why break it. If something dosent work it is time to make a fix.

I personally love my PS3 favorite game right now is flow, nothing like smoking a canon and playing that game for an hour its such a mellow game when your high as a kite.

The Halo series has varied greatly from game to game, and that's why it's such a disappointment. Now, within what little strategy there really is in FPSs, Bungie pretty much decreased the amount of strategy needed with each succession. Not to mention you jump higher, run faster, die faster, and the levels got smaller. I might as well play UT, the game that does it right.

Similarity should be strict between sequels.

And stop writing posts while you're high. Obligatory drugs are bad, mmkay?

Besides how am I going to derail BBQ's threads if I am not high, if I wasn't I might acctually start agreeing with him on some things. /sigh pass the bong don't need that happening.

The Ratchet formula hasn't strayed far from the original, admittedly, but as a diehard fan of the series I can say that the latest one perfected nearly everything they've attempted before. I don't think we'll see another Ratchet game in that same traditional form, particularly considering the direction they're going in with the series now.

Either way, that sort of gameplay + more platforming is certainly the kind of experience I'd be happy with in a new Earthworm Jim game.

Yes, but the thing is, Interplay is a shadow of its former self. Brian Fargo is long gone from the company, and with him went much of the creative genius.

Plus Ratchet's awesomeness springs from its developers at Insomniac Games, who are probably one of the best (if not THE best) console game developers in the world.
