As for which game would be easiest to start with (in terms of over all difficulty) I'd say FF 8 or 10. Both of those were stupidly easy and offer stunning visuals and music to hook the 'new generation' (aka retards)

Well I have to say as an older gamer that I'm a bit miffed at times about how dumbed down some games have gotten. It seems they either dumb them down or make them incredibly difficult, there just seems to be no middle ground. At first I was irritated beyond belief at how easy games were but I've come to understand over time that there is no reason to beat a dead horse and just enjoy a good game when it happens to come along. It's just the evolution of gaming. People are so busy in their lives and we always want everything fast, so it just doesn't surprise me that its moved to gaming.

The difficulty of older games, the monotony, and the lack of WOW from the graphics are all things that aren't appealing to the younger generation. Not saying this is a bad thing either...its kind of me liking to buy my butter at the store because its fast, easy, and comes in a pretty package instead of whipping out the butter churn. LOL

People who knock on X-2 didn't really play it, much less do some of its rather insane optional boss fights.

I played it and I even bought the International version and played that too. Didn't care for either. People can dislike a game and have played it too.
