Sorry Mal, my game room has been boxed up and packed away for a while now. A good portion of it is in a storage facility. While I SHOULD dig stuff out and sell it, I'm too overwhelmed with other crap to do it.
As for the game being hard, you choose the mode so you chose to be frustrated Wish! LOL I absolutely LOVE that the game offers different modes. I hate that so many games are so easy now that you whip through them in a couple of hours. Drives me insane. Only thing that I dread is some developers offer a hard mode for dummies. They'll just add more HP to mobs or some other slight difference and slap a Hard Mode on it. Seriously, do we look that stupid?

I forget the name but there are a few equipments I believe that prevent death.
Doing the game on Normal is just torture, you're better off doing a run on normal (especially to get the Moogle DMW materia) and then doing a new game+ on Hard.
The final boss I believe has 10x his normal HP on Hard Mode.
