And yet, they're very much related. Being forced to listen to a little girl screech "LOOK IT'S EATING!!!" tends to grate on your nerves, especially when you're force-fed equally irritating voice clips through the entire game. Since talking to NPCs is such a huge aspect, shitty voice acting is a big deal.
A dialogue intensive game doesn't bother me. I play Bioware games, after all. However, if you are going to do voice overs and force the player to deal with it, then it is important that they are done right. I will say no more on this matter.
