Does anyone else feel like Brawl is so much slower than Melee? Maybe I'm just too used to Melee, but so far with Brawl I feel like my Falco is moving at half speed practically. Maybe I just didn't keep up with the Brawl updates enough, but I'm slowly starting to get used to it.

I definitely need some practice, so here's my code, everyone add me please :D

No, they actually really slowed Brawl down - apparently they thought Melee was a little too "twitch." If you want the movement speed back, use Sonic.

No, Brawl isn't really slower. Most moves retain the same speeds as before (some even became faster so that they didn't suck so hard, like Kirby's smashes.) The reason it feels that way is because most of the fastest-falling characters have much lower falling speeds now. Thus, most characters feel like you're using Luigi or Marth or Samus in Melee whenever you're in the air. This is especially obvious with Falco, whom had the fastest falling speed in Melee if I remember right.

This DOES have its advantages, as it makes the game more aerial-based. In Melee, the higher falling speeds, lack of good air dodge, and different edgegrabbing mechanics, it was much easier to seal your foe's fate once he's off the edge.

If you used "advanced techniques" in Melee then the obvious lack of wavedash and dashdancing will also make it feel slower to you, but it's not much different from playing Melee without wavedashing and dashdancing in that respect.

Idk i keep getting lagged out too, Its probably because I havent unlocked game and watch yet... I'll get to it @_@ im working. Once Game and Watch is unlocked for me its over

Oh yeah

Mr Game & Watch was my main character on Melee, and I just owned everyone with him, it got to the point where people didn't want to come over for melee partys anymore or if they did they didn't want me to play. I even won some local SSB:Melee tournaments with him. Im hoping for Game & Watch to own even more in Brawl, but I'll see once I unlock him ^^

If my wireless router wasn't on the shits right now I'd be all over that online play. Not that it matters. This game is hands down epic and keeps making me say to myself... "Wow. I'm so glad this game is in my Wii right now."
