Just curious, as I think I'll be receiving a PS3 + MGS4 either today or tomorrow...do I need an internet connection for anything important? I know there's an online mode and whatnot, but at the moment I have 4 router ports and the PS3 makes the 5th thing needing a connection...can I play through single-player mode and whatnot without unhooking the 360?

yup, though you might want to hook up the ps3 when you first get it in order to d/l all the updates

Thanks...I'm hoping to get a wireless router and hook what I can up wireless then use the ports for everything else...too many friggin systems.

I'm in the same boat, I bought a wireless router, but I can't find the cd and can't get it to work. Neither my pc desktop thats wired into it, or my wireless mac laptop.
It's quite aggravating.

Welcome to my world. Six computers (unless we set up the laptops for internet and then its eight), 2 - 360's, PS3, PS2 and various other small electronics with wireless access (PSP's, PDA's, etc.)

You don't need the CD to install any router.
It's easy, follow these steps:

1) look up the name of the company that makes up the router.
2) type the company name into your favorite search engine : Google
3) look up support or any type of documentation for your router
4) hook up your router to your computer using a ethernet cable or RJ-45 cable. Make sure the one you are hooking up is not called WAN. That's for your cable modem or dsl modem to connect to.
5) in the documentation for your router, it should tell you how to connect to your router, usually it's something like 192.168.1.100 or 192.168.0.100 similar.
6) password should be admin or leave blank and type in admin as user name.
7) configure router

It's not rocket science, it does require some patience to tinker around with.

I've gone through 5 routers since 2000. All due to over working the little suckers so much with 24/7 downloading over wifi or wired.
I'm currently on a Linksys N router. I have sent it in 2 times already due to it crapping out on me while connected via wired.

We suck up routers like crazy too. At least 5+ routers in as many years until now. Going through a router a year sucks monkey balls btw. We bought a D-Link Gaming Router DGL-4300 ( Amazon.com: D-Link DGL-4300 Wireless 108G Gaming Router: Electronics
)and haven't had any issues in 2+ years. (Knock on wood because with my luck it'll blow now!) Best investment I've ever made.

I may be back this weekend if I still can't get it to work. I think last time I messed with it, it would receive info from outside, and my computer could detect the wifi, but the router wouldn't pass info from outside to my computer or vice versa.

You don't need to hook it up online, however there are free camo's that are provided by Kojima that are somewhat useful. Like the one that makes the enemy laugh or rage. (I think that's what I remember them to do, I'm not home now to check what they are)

For real? I thought they were able to ship hardware to Canada.

They certainly don't to mx because of warranty issues and crap like that, nor can I get games shipped directly from amazon. I was hopping that issue would be resolved if I ever moved to Canada. <_<;

So yeah...I think this game should come with some sort of a health label, as it was highly addictive.

From Sat-Sun I played and beat the game in one sitting with my only breaks being Limbus on Saturday night and Nyzul on Sunday morning, lol

Awesome game, going to take a more lesiurely pace when I play through again to see what the unlockables are and whatnot.
