Technically, you can still see Wolf's footprints without the Solid Eye NV. The trick is to turn it on quickly, see which way the prints are going, then shut it off.

I finally got her. Took a while but damn that Moisin Nagant packs a wallop! I just kept tranking all the FROGs too (rather than have them constantly respawn). And Drebbin was just so pimp that everything in the store was 20% off!


Now I'm inside the base. btw, is there ANY way to kill these god damn spy bots? As soon as I shoot one they all go berserk. Now, I'm thinking about using a chaff grenade but that will just buy me time, not really get rid of them.


Also, I really hate myself. I only just now got my 1st statue (didn't realize you had to pick them up...) which means I missed Raven and Octopus' statues... yay... if I collect the ones I missed on this run, will I still get the Solar Gun on my next playthrough?

They're a pain in the ass. The best way to take them out is to stay out of sight and sound and pick them off one by one. That won't work in a later sequence though...so be ready. I just have to run through as fast as I can, pumping them with shotgun shells or blasting them with the Railgun. Attach a grenade launcher to your XM8 or M4-Custom and watch them fly.

And yeah, Drebin gives you a 20% discount on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The first two took me about 10 hours to go through, thats watching all the cutscenes and doing a lot of exploring while crawling around.

About how long are each of the acts?

For most people, around 3-4 hours of gameplay. My playthrough ended at about 22 hours, sans cutscenes. This next one will probably take me upwards of 30 hours.

It doesn't; you create your character and build your friends list based on the names of other players you meet. Konami is silly.

So I kinda watched my roomates play the game, and I kinda think I understand the story.

And I'm confused as shit. I feel like I'm in Bizarro world. I went online for an analysis, and I'm even more confused. I'm sure I missed something somewhere, lol, cause there's NO WAY what I read online is true about the Patriots.

Check out Gigaville. This guy makes a webcomic but it follows FOXHOUND. Even though we know how it all ends, it's interesting to see him try to retain continuity and fill in the void (not necessarily "plot holes," but more along the lines of "what else is going on").

He had a set storyline, then MGS3 came out and messed up his concepts, but I think he handled everything nicely. My only complaint is that he intended it to only go on for a certain distance, and in the last 3 months he definitely planned out the story (He wanted to finish the webcomic before MGS4 came out and further negated any of his concepts), but it definitely felt rushed at the end.

BUT I was very entertained by the webcomic.
