If anyone's interested, the latest news and information about SE's new upcoming untitled MMO can be found at:

It's taken all of the stuff from around the net and consolidated it into one site. Though there hasn't been much news at all lately. If it seems generally lacking in substantive information, it's because of either the lack of existence of concrete information, or SE's keeping their secrets laughing at us. In any case, what's posted is legit and enough to get you up to date.

Other than that, it's a pretty active forum with laid back members and topics for all.

Lets see if I can summarize all the info on that site:

• No name MMORGP, no release date.
• Uses "White Engine" from FFXII.
• S-E is fiddling with new payment scheme, such as in-game item purchasable with real-world money.

nope lol. but, well what would you expect, it's a site that tracking the progress of a game. Does progress of the development of a game start RIGHT after the game is released? Sure, it's not much, but we aren't developing the game now are we

point = if what you summarized about the info on the site, changes, wouldn't it still be good to know about the site--supposing you cared to know about the changes? And if you didn't care, wouldn't there be no reason to even learn about the info on the site to begin with?

Given that currently I can't tell if this "next gen MMO" of S-E's is a bunch of "research projects" or some "product development process" or an actual deliverable with dated milestones (and accounts busy counting the money the company would make from it), I have to say my interest in it is very low.

Heck, is there even a screen shot of the UI mock-up? Art asset samples?

I'll pay more attention once the company stops giving "hints" and starts giving demos.

We've seen a tech demo that may or may not have any relevance to the subject matter of the project. That's about it.

This was shown at the Xbox 360's press event at E3 2005. As Pai Pai said, it may or may not be related to the next-gen MMO, though it seems likely. But you can see some recycled assets in use, so who knows. A lot can change in almost three years.

Mhurron: It's really not that bad. EVE Online effectively has a roundabout method of officialized RMT in place, but the economy there isn't ravaged by it.

It's unchecked RMT that's a problem, not officially endorsed stuff.
