    Wisconsin Senator Proposes State Videogame Tax

    Ok, so this time he says it's not about discouraging video game usage, just that all players in Wisconsin should pay for the 'rehabilitation' of their fellow players because you know, we're all really just seconds away from beating the shit out of each other.

    Yeah, this pissed me off three days ago.

    Still, best way to combat this is to boycott Wisconsin tech shops. If all their business is being replaced by out-of-state companies, I think the legislature will get the message really quick.

        That you're not paying extra for everything else, thus implying that video games are the cause of crappy kids. Basically, it's putting video games on the same level as alcohol, tobacco, and gambling.

                I don't think people would have to be worried about their image anymore than they already do. Though, if anything, they need to put a tax on WoW's monthly fee.

                  As said, the tax follows the same idea as Tobacco and Alcohol, the users pay for the damage 'You' (royal you) cause. That's one. Second, the intent is to move people from the Justice system to the Juvenile system, I personally have a problem with the juvenile system and believe people should all be held to the same standard. Third, I should not have to pay any more for anything because some dickhead decided to break the law.

                  The idea is just stupid all round.

                          Video game = Babysitter for parents who wont do activities with there kids. Dont get me wrong, I put some heavy hours into gaming but i also have a 2 year old and spend time with her. The main reason for parents to throw down the kind of money they do is so there kids are busy playing the game and not burning shit or throwing fits. Then when the kid does one of those "bad" things the parents instantly think that is HAS to be that game they play all the time.....it can't be me not paying atention to them or spending quality time with them.

                          Parents these days are to soft and weak on there kids and tell them they are special and no body else is like them and the grow up thinking just that. I work in customer service and I see it everyday from todays youth and I know you see it in the malls, stores, airports, and other events. In other words Parents that suck = "bad kids". The general public is seeing this and has to blame someone so what do kids spend most of there time with....the scape goat.

                            But thats not a flaw of the parents. If they were brought up like that then its not their fault they seem to want to do the same thing. I blame society
