Enchanted Arms was a truly awful game on the 360. Hope they have improved it on the PS3. I'm really thinking about buying one, Uncharted or whatever its called looks like a really interesting game. What version of the PS3 did you get?

i got a 20 gig but my partner bought me a 120gig HD for 45 shipped to our house.

enchanted is a good game, it has its flaws but for a 1st gen Jrpg its not to bad. I am enjoying the story and game play. The voice acting is not the best so i have it with Japanese acting. I heard its a 50+ hour game.

It did look good and it had some really good features it just fell a bit short of what i thought it was going to be. Just heard from my best mate, hes getting one for Christmas and is going to get Enchanted Arms as well if he can find it. So i'll be playing it in the next couple of days

And a 50+ game is hard to find on next-gen consoles.

it really is. I got bad reviews because of the amount of skill and thought it takes to fight. Its a mix of turn based with No atb BUT it has strategy in so u don't just push x button to kill everything.

Yeah i checked the site out and the review was pretty decent. Shame they hardly have any reviews on the 360. Good site though, reviews RPGs how they are meant to be reviewed. The silly thing on the 360 was when it cut to the characters in conversations their clothes would flap around like there had just been a huge gush of wind! ANYWAY! Enough about that i'm sure i'm clogging up your thread about PS3 tags.

Enchanted Arms on PS3 was pretty bad (as was the 360 version). Not because of graphics (which were OK), but just flaky gameplay and a truly terrible storyline. It's the only title I've purchased for my PS3 that I've traded back (and I almost never trade back titles).

Buy Uncharted: Drake's Fortune or destroy your PS3. There's absolutely no reason not to own that game. It's fantastic. Oblivion is another good title to pick up if you want something that can eat up plenty of hours. If you have a craving for JRPGs, both White Knight Chronicle from Level 5 and Eternal Sonata from Bandai-Namco will be out on PS3 in 2008.

LOLRPGFan. I used to be a part of that site years ago. It's just an empty shell of its former self, lacking the soul that once drove it to the current success it enjoys. It should have disappeared like The GIA.

Anyways, I have to concur with Pai Pai. Uncharted is the best game the PS3 has to offer right now, and if you own the console and not that game, shame on you. Seriously. The poor console has been made fun of for having a lackluster game selection, and when they finally do offer some top tier exclusive games, no one's buying because "LOLFINALFANTASYXIII". Rachet and Uncharted both selling like crap while ports of games you can already play on 360 like Call of Duty 4 selling really well makes me shake my head.

But you can't doubt that COD4 is a fantastic game. I'm an avid 360 fan and i really want the 360 to be as successful as possible but it does annoy me that the PS3 isn't selling as well as hoped. I mean if they were both selling the same then game companies would really have to set up in terms of console exclusives. I still believe that the "console wars" will be won by games not processing power.

CoD4 is fantastic. I have no reason to complain that the PS3 version of CoD4 actually sold higher than the correlation of the PS3:360 install base; that's good for the system. As a whole, sales of the game were a beast. Congrats to Infinity Ward, they made a fantastic game and it's a huge success.

Assassin's Creed on PS3 outselling Uncharted, however, isn't cool. It's certainly a common "curse" new Sony IPs tend to face. The same thing happened to God of War, new Sony IPs tend to sell slowly at first and then steam picks up after release. Whether that's an issue with Sony's marketing or not I'm not sure, but I am sure that if you own a PS3 or are considering owning one and you don't plan on buying Uncharted, you're not cool.

It is the PS3's best game, it is one of the very best titles I've played this year, and there's no other game out right now that I think is more worth picking up this holiday, even though there are so many good ones out there right now for all platforms.

Well, most systems have that after launch. I highly doubt anyone will be able to continue that for more than two or three more months and be serious.

I think the bigger problem now is justifying the cost. I know I personally would buy the PS3 ASAP (well, in spirit anyway. Personal reasons aside, I would.) if it was under three hundred dollars. But I'm not going to buy a console that seems more like an investment in a format war than it does a gaming system. The only time I think people can honestly justify the cost is IF they are a movie buff and have an already kickass home theatre setup, and it's a cheap way to secure a BluRay player.

Until part of my console setup involves connecting it to my brain stem, it's not going to be worth $600. Period.

$299 will be a great price for the platform, it'll just take some more time. It was certainly hard to justify $600 for most people but at least until then, the current price point is pretty fair considering the amount of excellent content available for the system now, which it did take too long to accumulate.

Pretty much all three consoles are at great price points now, in my opinion. Though the Wii needs some more games worth buying for deeper experiences, I won't hold anything of that sort against it considering it's not designed around those games.

I don't think 'excellent content' ever justifies a system's cost.. unless it's free.

If PS3 came with a free MMORPG (not a social network, an MMORPG) with no subscription cost, or tons of free game downloads, I could maybe see it. When I pay for content, I expect a shiny plastic circle that I can actually use, not the potential to use such.

The 360 has a much better library, and is at a more reasonable price. The Wii's library might not be all there yet, but it is at least as good as the PS3's, and the Wii is obviously the cheapest console of this gen.
