Re: What do you want to see for the PS3, 360, and Wii?
Too bad Nintendo is Notorious for this kind of BS. They've been gouging people in this manner with various accessories and pointless sequels (Pokemon...) for years. They're not gonna stop now > <
That's what pisses me off when ppl say the Wii is cheap. Yeah, the system is cheap, but it's just the bait like everything else Nintendo manufactures. I totally agree with you though. My retard friend actually defends their cost. But then he also supports the Wii codes >_>
I like the idea of a dual-gun Wii mote too. God damn that would rule if Capcom ever put DMC on the Wii (one can only hope)
Also I believe they tried a DVD Playback feature for Japanese Wii's but it didn't pan out very well. Oh, and PS3's price is beyond reasonable for the technology inside and what it costs to manufacture the damn things. Or should everything we want in life be perfectly affordable regardless of what it will cost the manufacturers and suppliers?
People need to STFU about the PS3's price. If it's too much, then save up some more or don't buy it. Like anything, if you want it badly enough, work for it.
Good comments PaiPai, I agree 100%. Insomniac also said that what they did with Resistance was "only the tip of the iceberg of what PS3 can really do." and I bet we'll start seeing some of that with MGS4, FF13 and eventually God of War 3 (That one's gonna be a doozy ^^ I can hardly wait)
The PSN both looks and functions like sheer ass. XBL is gorgeous (though that comes at the cost of paying for what is essentially an otherwise free battle.net-ish P2P system just to play with other people online. Fuck you MS) and functions very well. It's easy to use, and very appealing.
But, that may be why Sony isn't doing much with theirs. It could be to keep costs down. Either that or they're just lazy/retarded/don't care >_>
I also think Sony is right to shut down the RSX during other applications. They want to keep piracy issues to a minimum here. Yeah, I'd love to run PC games too but I think that's just a can of worms that Sony would rather not open. It could always change though, so you never know.
Speaking of online interfaces though, Nintendo needs to stop this friend code bull shit. NOW. They advertise being able to play games like Crystal Chronicles etc with people online, and then pull this bull shit so that you can only play online with people you already know. At the very least, make it so you can just play with others on your friend list! It's not an issue with PS3 or 360, so knock it off Nintendo. Are they that afraid of a lawsuit?! I seriously doubt any judge would convict Nintendo...
Sorry this isn't too organized, I'm just editing sparely between bouts of Lucky Star and Devil May Cry (The anime, not the games though I love those too) and my only beefs with 360 so far are paying for XBL Gold (complete bull shit for reasons stated above.) and how much heat the system generates. To hell with campfires, just set up a 360 outdoors and a portable TV or something with Halo 3 and you'll be golden >_>
Wii -
1. Make VC games free, or very cheap. There is no reason I should pay $5 for a twenty year old game, especially when I can get it for a few coins at a local shop and have the actual game. The Wii would be a very attractive console if, instead of having to pay through the nose for games, I was able to simply select one and play it for free. It would basically make the console more than pay for itself, just through the library of games-- not to mention, I'd probably buy a classic controller or two that way. Or offer a Netflix type service for it-- I pay $10 a month, and I can play any VC game. I would surely burn away thousands of Wii points a year for that.
