I picked up GH3 and FFT same day. I haven't been able to play FFT yet. GH3 is the first one we own from the series and we can put it down. Tons of fun!

Well Luso falls into the same problem, since FFTA2 takes place after the events of FFXII: Reverent Wings, since Vaan, stripper pole wielding Penelo, Al Cid, and FFXII's Montblanc, are all recruitable/NPC characters. Yet, Luso is a new bonus character in FFT for PSP.

Cameos, generally speaking, are for giggles. At least they didn't make it Vaan. I can't stand him. Balthier or Basch would have been my pick, and they went for Balthier, so I'm happy.

I see no reason for them to explain it story-wise. Especially since they 'inter-dimensional teleportation'-ed Cloud Strife into Ivalice. With random blatant CloudxAeris-ness that always makes my skin crawl.

...but I'm still terrible in a warhawk. I blast off and within 5 seconds my corpse is tossed out of a missile-wridden explosion.

I'm horrible in the Warhawks too, but on foot I'm can be a beast. Don't play quite like I wanna due to other games or activities. Last time I played I ~think~ I hit the 3rd ranking. Need to login and check out of the update has been released.

Currently I'm 2 planets in on Challenge Mode for RCF. I love these games.

As for games this week? Do pre-orders count? New FFXI expansion and Assassin's Creed.

BTW, Jei's Assassin's Creek (Intentional or otherwise.) had me cracked up.

Is there any difference between Tactics:War of the Lions and FFT?

Please say there isn't.

It's the definitive version of the game.

- New translation (Spakespearian English, no more Engrish!)
- Onion Knight and Dark Knight
- Brand New 5th Chapter
- PvP and CooP Missions
- Newly added missions and story sequences to better explain events
- Fully animated FMVs with good VA.

Finally unlocked Dark Knight on FFT... god damn what a pain in the ass. I will say this right now: Whomever you decide to make your DRK, do it from chapter 1 if possible. It takes a long god damn time to rack up all that JP needed, but the class is disgustingly powerful.

Now granted I had the Geomancer's Attack Boost on at the time, but Ramza was swinging for nearly 600 damage with only 1 boost to attack. WTF >_ >b

Not quite as diverse for each platform this week, but there's that one big multiplatform title everyone and their grandma's been waiting for, which shipped on Sunday and most people have by now. What's everyone grabbing this week?

I may or may not get GHIII for Wii . . . it's not very high on my list, to be honest, and, really, I'm sort of holding out for an announcement for Rock Band to come to Wii.

Pretty much all shovelware. No, seriously. There's Ben 10, Ratatouille sequel, Barbie: Island Princesses, and some other crap That's pretty much it.

I must have been the only one to notice this: you act as if Nintendo is the only one that has licensed shovelware on its systems. Really, more often than not, that crap gets shared by everybody, not just Nintendo.

If you can name a worthwhile title coming out on DS this week that isn't licensed crap from Disney, Mattel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, or some other similar entity, please let me know so I can add it. I don't think anyone here is interested in buying Disney Princess Adventures on Wii.

Bee Movie Game releases on all platforms this week, but the majority of Wii and DS releases this week consist of similar titles. Granted, there are at least two very worthwhile or important titles released on Wii this week, and they are listed. If the majority of titles released this week on 360 or PS3 were such titles, I'd surely indicate that.

And once again, why blame the console holder for a 3rd party release? ._.

This is almost official. The following is from an IGN article:

April 2, 2007 - During a conference call to announce its latest music game Rock Band for release on Xbox 360 and PS3, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos hinted strongly that a Wii-specific version of the title would be coming out in the future. When asked if there was any chance Rock Band would arrive on Wii, Rigopulos said without hesitation, "Absolutely."

"We will, at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform," Rigopulos said. He added that Harmonix would optimize future versions of Rock Band to fit the strengths of the platform. "I think the Wiimote is something that holds enormous promise."

Still getting GH3 is a cool idea since the playlist are so different.

Indeed, if you're only looking to play guitar, then naturally I think Guitar Hero III's a better choice. The tracklist is obviously more focused on the guitar parts and tuned just for that.

I'm looking forward to Rock Band however, as it's something I can get a lot more friends and family members into. Occasionally I can convince my brother or a non-gamer buddy to jump in a round of Guitar Hero, but I can certainly see my sister, my mom, or uncle wanting to try out the voice or drum parts in Rock Band, or even some of the lighter guitar songs.
