Well there's only 1 spot in the open roster... yes there could still be hidden characters, but still we don't need 3 kirby characters much less fatshit birdo who no one likes. At least Meta Knight is bad ass.

I believe there will be more characters. If you have 2 rows of 4 characters (1 row filled and the second row filled with 1 characters), it doesn't mean there will be 3 characters left.

Aside, Dedede was a Penguin before it was cool. I personally am pleased that he's in the game.

That brings the list of charactors I'd play to . . . far too many. -_-

And agreed with Rain Blade, which was my initial point, although I didn't bother writing it out.

If Nintendo is seriously putting in *three* characters from Kirby, but cutting out Game & Watch, Ganon, AND Cpt. Falcon, I will be amazed that Nintendo could screw something so good up so badly.

Not to mention there's only like four villans, even SSBM had five or six.

I can think of five or six characters off the top of my head still that would be a no-brainer for Nintendo to add, and I'm not talking things that would require more copyright talks like megaman or anything.

You're crazy if you think there's only room for one more character.

Captain Falcon is missing. Fat chance he'll be gone. Luigi is missing. Fine, nobody likes him nearly as much as Mario. Still, like Captain Falcon, he's been in Smash 64 and Melee, and it'd be retarded to have Peach and Bowser, yet no Luigi. Jigglypuff is missing. Also from the original Smash 64, and she's very strong on Melee. No reason to take her out.

Although it's in no way official, it seems Krystal will be in Brawl in some way or another. Maybe a character, maybe an assist trophy, who knows.

Finally, in addition to the missing veterans, there's one more *game universe* missing. Ok, that's not official either, but it's incredibly likely (GO GO MEGAMAN.)

That aside, I can't believe you dissed Dedede D: But Simon Belmont? Isn't Castlevania Konami? I doubt they'll give a 3rd party company TWO characters.

Yes it's Konami again but you HAVE to have him in there. Either Simon Belmont (for the sake of having all of the iconic 8-bit characters) or Alucard since SotN is still the greatest Castlevania (and arguably Playstation) game ever made and he's quite well known as a result of it. I suppose Richter could work too, and give him one of the item crashes for his F.S., but that'd be dumb I think.


You can't tell me Simon doesn't deserve or shouldn't be in there. He has to be to complete the cycle alongside Rockman, or heads will roll.

since we're just listing random things at this point, I'm just gonna give my list of characters that should be in SSBB, and that Nintendo definitely has the legal ability to do:

Psycho Mantis. Could be VERY entertaining as a boss, and VERY unique as a fighter. Optic Camouflage.. the whole floating thing.. actually, might be kinda similar to Mewtwo, but still.

Tails. Again, could be a unique and interesting fighter. I forget all the moves he has with his tail, but being able to fly and hover around somewhat like kirby could be interesting, especially if he's given a "grab" move that allows him to carry friends (or foes) ala Sonic Heroes through the sky.

O'Chunks. Smash Bros. could use more heavy fighters like Bowser and DK, and O'Chunks could definitely fit that role. Smash Bros. has used 2D characters before, too (Game & Watch), so it's not a problem.



Also, we need a fucking tetris stage. Don't get trapped under a block! (instant KO) When the falling block you're on rotates, get out of the way! gradually building an uneven landscape, and then knocking out all the pieces and starting over would be neat.

I second the Tetris stage! ... not so fond of the other ideas (Mantis was cool, but let's leave it at snake. Bad enough he's in there already, much as I love him he's being toned down severely)
