Already whipping my way through Castlevania... or is it whipping me? There were times I've been half-tempted to toss my PSP across the room. I don't wanna have to buy a new PSP and/or be invoiced for damaging the walls in my apartment. In spite of that, it's still a good game. Old school Castlevania at its best.

Okay I'm officially pissed off at EB (and worried)

I checked their website, and Castlevania is out. BUT, the fucking EB near me says they won't recieve until next wednesday. One or Two day's delay is normal in Canada, but a bloody week?! Unacceptable...

That reminds me, the walmart near here doesn't carry Warhawk, even though their running commercials for it... I'm about ready to explode here.

Eye of Judgement looked pretty cool. I think most people are going to go for Guitar Hero though for xbox 360. Uhhh Isn't Guitar Hero suppose to be up there too?

I hate when that happens. I had a similar thing happen to me with Maverick Hunter X last year.

It's very hard for me to play one game exclusively for so long. Especially one that's online. You know, the whole burnout thing.

EYE OF JUDGMENT does look cool. I want a PS Eye Camera sooner or later, so I'll end up picking it up with EOJ since it's only $30 more.

And Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock ships on Sunday the 28th...so technically that's next week. XD

                        ^ Priceless!

I just got a call from my pals at GameStop telling me my own copy of The Eye of Judgment just arrived this afternoon. It's going to have to fight Ratchet and Clank for my attention on my PS3 though!

                          Penny Arcade already did it.

PA seems to love EOJ, and they're usually the harshest critics of every game, especially PS3 titles. Each day will be more and more tempting to pick it up, but I'll wait a while, as I'll be ready for the big November titles like Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Super Mario Galaxy by the time I'm done with Ratchet & Clank and Zack & Wiki.

Icemage, looking forward to Uncharted next month? Game looks phenomonal, probably another AAA experience in the vein of Ratchet & Clank before the year is out. I trust Naughty Dog to make another great title just like I knew I could trust Insomniac to do so.

Ok PaiPai, what's so great about this Zack and Wiki thing?

I've looked into it, and it looks like it's just "run here, do gimmicky Wii action, run there, repeat", and I know you wouldn't be talking so well of it if it were, so what's up?

I dunno if it was the intention of the developers, but it's a solid throwback to point-and-click adventure games. May be a nostalgia factor for the most part, but it feels like playing a new-age, Japanese King's Quest or something.

Basically every stage is a big room or outdoor area with a puzzle that you need to solve to advance or obtain the treasure you're looking for. They make it really varied, and they're all a lot of fun.

So far there've been very few puzzles that actually feel gimmicky. Most of them flow really well and don't take me out of the experience, as most Wii games have failed to do so thus far. I'm looking at you, Metroid handle-turning sequences.

This is the kind of game the Wii needs more of. Please, no more of this non-game bullcrap (it's not gonna stop, unfortunately), and no more dumbed down titles based on hardcore franchises trying desperately to appeal to the larger mass audience casual gamer. I want more games like Zack & Wiki, games that present themselves to both audiences and are both highly appealing and highly entertaining for anyone that loves games.

                                Re: Pai Pai and EOJ
I just got my copy of the game home from GameStop. I can't find ANY source for extra booster cards anywhere near me; everyone I tried ordering from said they won't have them in until at least next week, as the shipments that were supposed to arrive today were postponed until middle of next week.

I'll fire up the game later if I can tear myself away from Ratchet and Clank / Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for more than 30 minutes in between bouts of Final Fantasy XI (lol).

                                Re: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
This title was off of my consideration for a long time because frankly it looked ugly to me, in the same way that Stranglehold did. The latest tech trailer looks MUCH sharper, however. If I see another trailer that looks like that tech trailer, it goes back on the consideration list.

While I was at GameStop today, I picked up Mercury Meltdown Revolution (Wii) - not sure when I'll ever get to play it, as it now has six games ahead of it on the priority list (Ratchet, Eye of Judgment, FFT PSP, Dewy's Adventure, Metroid Prime 3, Warhawk), but wanted to get it before I forgot about it.

I also pulled the trigger and pre-ordered the collector's edition of Rock Band. Man, that game is going to be so good... assuming anyone else can afford it.
