Sorry this is a nit pick but Zero Suit Samus=/=Samus, they are considered different characters. So she is able to bend the rules and use a smash ball twice.

P.S. I'm personally a Peach player, because I wanted to have SSBM be challenging, so I picked who I thought would be the weakest character and complete everything with her. My friends hate me for it :D.

EDIT: I also doubt they won't set up a Zelda/Sheik system for Samus and Zero Suit Samus for the start of fights. I personally won't be upset if they don't, but even if you just wanted to try her out, it would be a bit of a bummer.

Hah, my friend picked Jigglypuff for that same reason. I still hate him for it since Jigglypuff can utterly destroy Fox if you're not careful.

Come to think of it, it would make sense if Gobo is right. Not only are they separate characters, you'd kinda be handicapped as a Samus player if you're stuck in Zero Suit Samus mode, since she's definetely going to lose a lot of weight. It'd be nice to have the option to turn back eventually. And it'd be cool if Zero Suit Samus had her own Final Smash.

ZS Samus does have her own Flash, and it turns her back into Power Suit Samus, with an attack added in of course

Minor nitpick: I think that's the Varia Suit (the Power Suit didn't have the huge whatever-the-hell-they-are on the shoulders.) But that's neither here nor there. That's hot. Do you have a link?

I think the be more nitpicky, "power suit" refers to the chozo suit regardless of whether it's recieved varia, gravity or other such upgrades. You're right that it doesn't have the big shoulder knobs until the varia stage, but power suit is the verbage they use on the smash bros website.

Whatever the suit is called, I still don't belive a word of a Zero Suit Samus Final Smash.

Samus's Final Smash has two benefits: the obvious blasting attack, and essentially becoming Shiek afterwards.

As for the "lost weight" arguement, that could just as easily work for you as it could against you.

I don't even know why I'm concerning myself with Samus in the first place: she isn't even a character I'd be interested in playing in, Power Suit or no. Pit, Pokémon Trainer, Meta Knight, Pikachu, Yoshi, and the Ice Climbers are the characters I'm most interested in playing at the moment (possibly Ike and Kirby as well). Maybe Snake, but that's because stealth-based fighting looks like fun. ^_^

I don't think there's ever a situation where less weight is beneficial. Most lightweight characters are fast (and so is ZS Samus) but in general more weight = better. If her falling speed is the same as Power Suit Samus then she's just as comboable, but far easier to send off of the stage, and on top of that it's harder for her to come back one she's out (weight doesn't affect how far you're sent vertically, falling speed does; this is why Peach is heavier than Fox, but her floaty nature makes her get thrown higher.)

That and I think Sheik is more broken than ZS Samus (Sheik's forward tilt covers a whole arc in front of her, ZS Samus's is a normal turning kick; Sheik has an invincible recovery, ZS Samus has to jump and plasma whip to grab stuff; Sheik has near-invisible projectiles that she can charge while jumping, and can throw downwards when jumping; ZS Samus just has a stun gun; and Sheik's bitch-slap forward air is just unfair.) Plus, ZS Samus loses her bomb jump and screw attack.

Feba: Yeah, I'm guessing. I could be entirely off-base. I'm just saying; ZS Samus would have to be pretty damned good to make up for all the setbacks that come with losing the Power Suit (not that she necessarily has to be as good...she "should" be better off with the suit than without it. She does use it for a reason.) That and Yellow Mage compared her to Sheik, and Sheik is very broken. Particularly because almost every one of her attacks is great. I'm just not seeing that in ZS Samus based on the little I've seen (and I'm hessitant to believe Nintendo would let such levels of brokenness slide a second time.) But like I said, I'm just guessing.

So, would Mega Man end up being a heavy character?

I...have no clue. I mean, he's what, 4 feet tall, maybe? But he's also made of metal. Probably heavier than Mario at least. But I wouldn't think he'd be heavier than Samus.
