Animal Crossing character for Brawl

I'm calling it now. Why? Because there's already an item from the Animal Crossing universe (I believe it was called Pithole,) and more importantly, there's an Animal Crossing stage and an Animal Crossing icon. So far, every stage has had at least one character from that universe to go with it, and there's little reason to make an icon for the Anime Crossing universe if there won't be a character to go with it. The question is: who? Probably won't be K.K. Slider since he plays at the Smashville stage on 8 PM every Saturday.

Speculation GO.

I'd put my bets on the most notorious character in the cast



Mr. Resetti has a weapon, he's made for this role. He'd kick anyone else's ass in the AC universe. He has much fury.

Probably won't be K.K. Slider since he plays at the Smashville stage on 8 PM every Saturday.

That is not only true to being K.K. Slider, but totally awesome.

It was quite deliberate ;o And yes, the R.O.B. squad is hillarious, but I'm sure they're still quite deadly.

If Mr. Resetti makes it to Brawl I'll laugh very hard, and then become very afraid.

Yeah, because if you reset the game when you're losing, he's gonna show up and chew your ears off. He is the mole to fear because he is always watching you.

They show Nook in Smashville, which is why I figured that we wouldn't get him.
I've had the exact same theory for ages RE: AC character in SSBB, and I have to say, nothing gets me more excited than the idea of Mr. Resetti being playable.

I'm confident that that article refers to the humans in the background.

No Animal Crossing charactors. I've played both games, and fighting makes no sense. All you can do is hit them upside the head with nets, and then you're upset when they leave town.

So, yeah, while I see all the AC content was worthy enough to warrant its own symbol (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/image...orld_b_15.gif), I think Resetti is the closest we get to an AC charactor, and with good reason.

On the plus side, he totally owns as an AT.

No, it's not the characters in the background they're referring to.

Sakurai chose his favorite of the stage concepts, slightly tweaked it to his liking, and we together decided on the final Animal Forest character, which is a very fun character to play.

Besides, no stage has ever gone characterless. Not all characters had a unique stage from their universe in Melee (Roy, Marth) but every stage did have a character(s) from its universe to go with it.

Apparently some smart guy took scans of an old magazine article that had NOTHING to do with SSBB and tricked tons of people, including your humble news editor, into believing the Katsuya Eguchi interview. Rats. That AC character might still be fake.

This is what we call massive fail, on the part of anybody who bought into it. Meaning not me.
