To further this advertising, if you go to Toys 'R Us and buy Madden 08, you get 50% off any other game purchase. Whether or not that's worth the shame of having purchased Madden 08 is beyond me.

Rent Madden before buying. I did and found NCAA 08 a better game. Here is a someone's opinion on the Madden game and I totally agree...

I was just thinking the same thing! Haven't seen a peep outta TGM in so long, I can't even speculate the last time we were graced with her presence.

But now it's time to go try out the NCAA game. Though usually that game is more fun. Just found out today, there's a demo for it on the PS Store along with the 2nd episode of the Heavenly Sword anime.

I've really been enjoying the gap episodes of HS but I really like the making of videos more. The second one with the gorgeous drawings was awesome. I don't like to buy games as soon as they come out but this one is tempting me beyond belief!

Indeed, Heavenly Sword has some fantastic artistry behind it. Even if the gameplay sucked (which thankfully, it does not), I'd buy it just for the incredible art design. This is one of the few western games in recent years that I've been pining for an "Art Of..." book. Hopefully Sony will release one. Something similar for Bioshock would be nice too.
