They should do those with the Wii and Xbox 360.

I bet the Xbox lasts 2 hours max.
Wii might start glitching a little after it runs for a while but it shouldn't die.

I doubt the Wii would hold up either. Everyone just cheers it on because they like it (and I like it too) but I really don't think it's built to last like the PS3 is.

Some Wii consoles (mine included before I had to get it repaired) overheat just while using WiiConnect24 in standby mode. I don't think it's meant to last like the PS3 is, but the defect rate is about as low, around 1% or less.

It is true though, that the PS3 is definitely built to keep on going. I know many people, myself included, who run their consoles constantly, almost nonstop for months on end, to fold@home when it's not in use for games or movies. The console does get a little loud after it's been running for about an hour (loud as in it actually starts to make a sound...otherwise it's almost completely silent) and the top of the case does run hot after a while, but the console itself plays without a hitch after hours, days, and weeks of being on.

Many 360s can't even work under normal conditions. The results would be depressing. And the Wii can't handle heat at all. I put it on top of my 360 one time, and played Gears of War for a couple of hours, then switched to play Mario Party 8. The game got an unbelievable amount of lag.

Folding@home was a great idea. Since my girlfriend got a PS3, I run the program for her. That way I can say that I cured Alzheimers of another disease of the like when the study yields some results.

Seriously though, I don't think it will take a bullet. If a sledge hammer can destroy it a bullet will sure as hell put a nice hole in it from the velocity alone.

My 360 is running fine. No red rings, no freezing and i have had it since release. As for my Ps3. I will never ever play a movie on it. Thats taking into account my last 2 Ps2 broke sortly after playing movies from my home collection.

When I first got my 360, for the first week or so, I had to boot my 360 up twice. I believe it got the one ring and not the three rings. But the problem eventually went away and my 360 works great.

It's just funny to read all the fanbois go at each other. An whats even better is when someones 360 breaks its like the end of the world to them. While i say "hey thats great, Its just getting you ready for even more expensive things to break."

Fanboy nothing, fact is a lot of them break down rather easily. My brother's works just fine, but a friend of mine bought one and had to replace it because he got the red ring the first time he turned it on!


Then there's the blatant disc damaging the thing does. We were about to play some of the Halo 3 beta one night when my other friend's crackdown disc suddenly stopped working. His 360 had torn the shit out of it in only a few days.

Now, most of his discs are fine event today so I"m chalking that up to a fluke, but I've heard a lot of similar complaints.

MS just can't manufacture worth shit.

I had a new transmission replaced on my truck a week later because it went to poop on me. An my new house just had a piper burst and ruined not only my ceiling but my hard wood floors.

I wouldn't doubt if the RRoD from first start up is because stores put them back on the self and hope the next consumer doesn't return it to them but to Ms.

I have some scratches on my games. I just chalk it up to normal wear an tear. I know my Ps and both PS2 used to scratch my discs. An my original xbox only did it to 1 game i owned.

Ms's problem was forcing the next gen console before they could test it rigorously. An now were seeing the Ms pay for it.
