I was so annoyed with my sister hogging my PS2 that I bought a PS3(well I wanted to play Ninja Giaden too) but I'm having some issues with setting up the built-in Wi-fi. I'm way down in the basment at the edge of my house and the router is upstairs in about the middle of the house.
I have linksys Wireless G router and since I was down in a hole I bought a wireless extender(repeater) to boost the signal. I have slight wars with my Wii and it's wi-fi as well but it usually only lasts an hour or two and then it works.
My thing is: I get the PS3 online for anywhere from 5-20 minutes and it cuts out...it shouldn't do this since the signal stregeth from the booster is around 40%(not that good but hey it should work!). The PS3 also fails the connection test when I run it...
I can't even do the updates on FFXI since it's being that annoying...I swear is a miricle I got the system updated, got the PS2 system file and got POL up to date. Any ideas?
BTW: I had my PS2 running off it's own wirelesss G bridge and it stayed connected just fine. I'd hate to have to use it instead of thr built-in...
