WoW is a pretty fun game. Especially in the beginning. Later on it gets less fun, unless you enjoy running the same instances over and over again. Most people don't.

A lot of the bashing of the game and it's community is just so ridiculous. It's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Yes, a lot of the community sucks, but a lot of the people are really cool too.

I'd second Grizzlebeard's suggestion of EQ2 though. It's a very fun game. Especially nowadays.

A game is a game. I say give it a try. Personally its not for me, and I have tried it. Stop worrying about things so much and just embark on this magical journey to a realm you hate more than others, and see if it is truely worth your contempt or whether you can find something in it worth your time. This isn't suicide, its a game.

I just hope WotG revives my interest in XI, otherwise I'll be in Feba's club; looking for a new MMOG (maybe the one SE is making for the PS3).


PS > Hey Feba you could play Guild Wars for a sort of painless experience, plus is really cheap and you can either solo everything with Henchmen or team up if you feel like it, and looks way better than WoW (but then again most games do).

NO.... WoW is evil I swear i went into game got demo when FFXI was going badly I mean real bad no invites LS trouble after about 8 gaming hours over 4/5 days I was back in FFXI.
I MEAN WTF?? I mean a PLD in WoW is absolutely bo??oks weird < if any > hate holding? no party structure?

I don't see why people keep bashing WoW. But anyways Feb's if you wanna try out WoW then go for it. Hell you can go on the blizz site an try a free 10 day demo.( well i think they are still doing it) If you like it that much then you can go buy it. If you don't, Well hell then you just saved all that money.

People bash WoW because it's trendy. It's an easy target, and they can't think objectively.

It's just a game. Just like any other MMO. It doesn't deserve the vitriol and bile that people spew about it. Either play it or don't. But don't waste your time ranting about it if you aren't playing it. That's just stupid.

Well, I had played WoW recently. I could not bring myself to level past 40, just felt boring (got a few jobs to level 40). I had a guild that were doing end game a lot (and a few real life friends there) and yeah, they were nice and mature but because they were in end-game I had no one to really play with.

Anyways, just try it out and see if you want to. But be ready for a bunch of idiots on there (especially in the PvP servers).
