Do i need a router for a 360 networking adapter or does it automatically detect the internet nearby and go to xbox live?

You don't even need the internet, Xbox Live is that good.

how does something "detect the internet nearby"? proximity sensors? smell? spidey-sense?

the xbox360 comes (depending on the version you buy) with an ethernet cable. where you plug than in is up to you

Ok, please explain to me SOMEONE how the xbox 360 can connect to live without the long cables stretching across the entire room lol. How does this wireless network work for the 360?

Wireless for the 360 requires A) a Router with Wireless capabilities, and B) XBOX360 Wireless Adapter.

The rest is straight forward, enable the wireless router, plug in the wireless adapter, then follow on screen instructions.

Yes, it's pretty straight forward, but as we've said before, please keep all your questions in one thread (you've made about 7-8 so far), and people are frankly getting annoyed. Also, I HIGHLY suggest you visit these websites.

All of your questions could have been answered by your own simple research. Please, try to think a little for your self instead of being expected to be spoonfed here on the forums. Also, you should look over the rules of the FFXIO (Final Fantasy XI Online) Forums (the ones you are posting on right now). Once you do that, please follow them, they are in place for good measure, and we don't want you to end up getting banned.

Also, getting uppity with our more established members (myself included), is not a smart idea, and you'll be driven away (sad, but ture). We have a respect for new people, untill they keep doing what you're doing, not following the rules.

Two Simple rules/ideas to live by here on FFXIO to make your stay welcomed.

1) Use the Search tool
2) Do your own small research first

I think (I just re-read though his posts because I'm bored, and no one's posting anything intresting), he is "getting" a "360" sometime "next week".

/shrugs. Then he goes off to say he's joining ifrit in like 3 weeks. I already lost track, and I just read though them again. I think my brain exploded when I was reading it, from the lack of IQ comming from his posts.

Edit: He refered to Vent for FFXI, my guess is he came from WoW.... I wonder what server/character he played Haha, and I wonder why he's not playing with them anymore.
