I personally loath Duke Nukem... both character and series *gag* but it's not my place to pass judgment on it.


The thing about Master Chief is he's the ultimate soldier; a product of genetic engineering, technilogical enhancement and good old military training. He kicks ass, takes names and doesn't give lip to his CO.

In terms of character, he's pretty poor, but that's the point; It's like a buddy of mine's explanation of GoW (another great FPS). You're just some professional bad ass (Military Soldier) out doing his job. You don't really need to know everything about what's going on; you just go out and skull**** the enemy until you're told otherwise by your superiors.

I believe you answered your own question. Also, Warhawk looks like it's going to mop the floor with Battlefield.... just as soon as PS3 catches on lol ><

battlefield will always trump over halo. and thats just 2 things. another reason why battlefield is better: your not some super soldier. you are one of many soldiers and you can swap between them, no genetic engineering and you cant own everything with one person.

but warhawk does seem fun, but it not an fps

Just download and play the Shadowrun demo. That should be an adequate replacement.

I didn't get the beta, because even though Crackdown looked interesting, I'm not one to shell out $60 for a game I'm not enthusiastic about and gets 'meh' reviews. That, and I'm just not a huge fan of Halo. I have had a lot of fun with Halo PC, and it's an absolute blast when playing with a bunch of friends, but if I got a hankering for Halo action, I could just as easily play the original and get the same experience.

back on topic, it was sad to see the Beta end, but now I have more time for FFXI again, and can finally get deeper into Forza 2 as well

yeah, no more staying up to 3 AM just to duke it out with unbalanced teams (seriously, WTF was wrong with matchmaking...)


My biggest gripe is that none of the saved videos from the beta will ever be playable again... so much for showing off my Perfection Medal in BTB Training Team Slayer >. >

OMG It was insane @. @ my friend next to me (it was his 360 and copy of Crackdown for the record. I was just signed in as a guest every time) was freaking out as I was counting off the kills aloud.

At one point I was sure I was gonna die; no shields, and 2 Blue's charging me up from the Territory 1 on High Ground (I say territory so ppl will get the position I mean; it wasn't at Territories match) and I just lobbed two frags while backing around the corner... only to land a double kill.

I ended the match as MVP with 16 kills and 0 deaths, and I swear I could hear everyone on their headsets shouting "Perfection?! WTF?" omg it was awesome.
