The Halo 3 Beta has officially ended...







On the plus side, thank you Bungie for giving us a taste of what looks like the best shooter ever. Can't wait for Sept. 25!


The night couldn't have ended on a better note either. My friend and I were in a BTB Training Slayer match where it was 5v5. It started off with the blues leading us 22:1, but we somehow turned it around for a 50:48 victory.

Heh. I never even bothered to downloaded it after I picked up Crackdown. Was more interested in Crackdown than an overcrowded beta...

Given that the beta was a very limited sample, that's a good measure of how many people were playing.

I can say this though; there were over 30,000 players on last night. Oh, and it wasn't crowded either. In fact, the more people the better. It just means less time for matchmaking to kick in.

You missed out on a chance for good fun and to actually have an effect on the final game.

Crackdown was a terrible game. There's nothing better than clearing out an area just to watch the respawns fill it up again. With the huge jumping I felt like it was more of a Tribes clone with autoaim than a GTA clone.

Crackdown looks interesting. If 360 prices do drop to 199$, and used 360 prices fall significantly, I might pick it up. Xbox360 has a few interesting looking games, but nothing worth the price to me. For under 100$ though, it would probably be worth it. Crackdown, Dead Rising, GoW, and a couple other games look interesting. The Wii doesn't have too much coming out until at least august, and it doesn't look like we'll be seeing any real online content for awhile.

I think kinda the same, if they lower the price of the 360 (with HDMI support) to $100 bucks then I'll consider buying it.

Add Rainbow Six: Las Vegas to the list. It's a pretty decent game, and even better playing Co-op with a friend.

How about that Tenchu Z? Ninja game, partial nudity, hopefully the good kind, and it even has Co-op.

And yes, if the Xbox dropped in price by a lot, I'd pick one up. Till that happens I'm avoiding it, especially with all the issues being reported. Supposibly the things are crapping out left and right.

I probably wouldn't buy a new Xbox, I dislike a lot of MS's business practices. Buying one used doesn't benefit them though, so if they're cheap enough I wouldn't have a problem with picking one up to try a few games on.

Awful game. The controls are clunky, the gameplay is shallow, and the graphics are terrible.
