So your options are A: Get a PSP, or B: Find a copy for PS1 (not too hard since they're still making some)

Well....

A) PSP = T3h Evil1!!!!!eleventyone11!! So no go there.

B) Got it for the PS1 a long time ago, and I love it to death!

I haven't really been able to find a DS fantasy/adventure game that really catches my interest, and FFT is an old, old favorite of mine. Since they made FF3 for the DS, I was hoping that they would make FFT for the DS instead of the PSP.

Its not the exact same, but they are releasing Final Fantasy Tactics A2 for the DS. Its Ivalice, close enough.

Also don't forget about the new XBox360/PS3 title, The Last Remnant. (Announced 2 days ago)

Or Star Ocean 4 (Announced Today)

Or Chocobo Dungeon for the Wii (Announced today)

Or Star Ocean 1 & 2 being remade for the PSP (Announced today)

Not to mention Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for DS and Wii.

And Dragon Quest 9 for DS (now turned based for your gaming pleasure)

More info on all of these apparently at the "party" this weekend.

And I am sure they will drop the bomb on the next Kingdom Hearts game at the Square-Enix party too.

Dangit, all my old favorites are being remade for the PSP, FFT, Valkyrie Profile, and now SO2?

It is pretty cool though that so many of the really good old games are being released for the PSP though.

This should be interesting, I really like the Star Ocean games, it should be interesting to see what they do with the games now seeing how they ended SO3.

I've never played the FF Crystal Chronicles, so that may be interesting to look into.

Dawn of Mana finally comes out this month too for PS2.

I've been waiting for Seiken Densetsu 4 for who knows how long ^ - ^ (Well, 10 years to be exact since that's how long ago SD3 was released in Japan)

Don't you mean 5? I realize some people don't exactly love Legend of Mana, but that's no reason to pretend it doesn't exist. It has the Tree, an only slightly different list of elementals, even rabites... oh, and 3 main villains, including the Dragon Emperor and a prince of the underworld (IIRC).

I realize this post is 3 days old and you've probably heard by now, but... Wings of the Goddess, and it looks like no. (But I think all the hints pointing to a Far East expansion aren't going to be left lying around forever. SE has stated that they plan to continue making expansions as long as players continue playing, so just because it isn't the *next* expansion doesn't mean it won't be *some* future expansion.)

SE officially stated some time ago that Legend of Mana was a stand alone game, and not another Seiken Densetsu. I'm so happy to have a real SD game again. Legend of Mana was just a "create your own world of garbage" game to most (I realize some liked it but I still stand by my trash remark.)


This time their explaining the origins of the Mana Tree (which I find odd because it's always been the goddess herself...)

Dissidia is a Smash Bros./Power Stone-style action game featuring Final Fantasy characters.

Cloud and Sephiroth were revealed in the Square Enix Party trailer.
