The only two I've heard of is a nasty Dawn of Souls remake(yuk! Dawn of Souls was the worst version of FF1...it was way too easy...not like the origanal at all!), and FFT PSP(only slighly intesting).

I can't get to ign at work so I'm not sure which one you're on about...none of them are all that original and they are certinally not with buying a $170 PSP

Hey! Don't forget FFTA2!

I don't care what anybody says, FFTA was a great game, and I can't wait to see what they do with the sequel.

Not to mention that FFXII:RW coming to the DS, as well. It's part of the "Ivalice Alliance," which is really the story of the Fantasy Continent of Ivalice. Really, I have as much interest in Ivalice as I do in Mindartia and Quon combined.

Honestly, this is all old news, and, as to be expected, the DS looks like it's getting the better deal. Good thing I got one !

Now, if I can JUST get my hands on Pokemon Pearl . . .

You can't get your hands on it? Man, when I went to best buy a couple weekends ago to get my Wii, they had like four or five packages of Pearl AND Diamond.

Nah, I haven't really cared about pokemon in half a decade. IF Nintendo makes a pokemon MMO on Wii, I'd buy it if it were decent though.

And BRP is probably joking about how FFXI is the red-headed stepchild of the FF series, I haven't seen the site though.

Square-Enix (well mostly square) loves to make things that include popular characters, just to milk some more cash out of people's pockets. Or they do releases like the 2 titles below:

and WOOT! FF 4 on DS! So glad I didn't buy the GBA version now.


Still, I like the graphics better in the new PSP rendition of FF1. The 3D is so nice! I don't really care for the blocky 3D they used in FF3 but oh well.

I'm pretty happy with FF3 on DS, but then I don't have much to compare it to. I've played the JP FF12:RW briefly on DS as well... only went through the first couple of levels (friend's cart), but it seems like it gets pretty busy later on in the game as more units and heroes (for lack of better terminology) are added in. On another note, DQ Swords looks kinda cool too.

Almost sounds like that other game (Fantasy Earth?) they had going briefly, which I think eventually died. It might be pretty interesting, maybe more successful on a portable system, though I remember hearing about loading being a major problem for FE. For now, I'm more in the "wouldn't-buy-another-portable-system-for-one-game" crowd... so I'll have to wait til I see someone playing it here (Taipei) or can get a video online before looking at it.

Seeing as SE is remaking it for the PSP I doubt that's a real possibility.

So your options are A: Get a PSP, or B: Find a copy for PS1 (not too hard since they're still making some)
