Easy now; that's the same character model I use. And I'm a dainty little muffin.

You can make up to five characters on every single server. No extra charge. And if you or your friend imported, you would indeed be able to play together. Just keep in mind that one of you would have to deal with more lag.

I'd suggest you do the importing, tbh. I hear the Codemasters servers have a nicer playerbase.

I probably will in a few weeks. I'm getting massive extra hours for the next month, which will give me extra spending money.

But until then, I'm broke. Had a recent vacation... spent a ton of money... x_x

On the token of a nicer playerbase, from his experiences, I'd have to say that's pretty true, too. He's already made three friends, I've yet to meet anyone who speaks to me longer than our Fellowship lasts.

Hell, I had one guy drop out of it as soon as the mission was done, and we were still deep in enemy territory and I was surrounded. That's really not good for anyone, especially a Champion.

Met a nice hobbit, we did the entire intro together, then she just vanished, too.

I don't get it. On XI, when I party with people whose company I enjoy, I more oft than not ask to add them to my FL and party with them again.

I had similar experiences. I even fellowed with some of the same people over multiple days through total coincidence (not seeking each other out), but once I didn't have quests they needed, they had no use for me anymore.

Ok, so where's a good site to import it from, if I was going to?

I've already looked at Amazon in the UK, they won't ship the game outside of there and the EU.

Ebay is a no go. I don't like it and I'm not signing up for Pay Pal. I'd rather go through a game store chain or large media provider, something on the lines of Amazon.

Why not have your friend buy a copy and mail it to you?

I would, but it's ridiculous rigamarole and money spent by him, even if I ordered it and had it shipped to him to ship to me, I'd still owe him postage.

So instead, I finally found one of their game-store chains that will indeed ship the game to me.

Last question and I'll gtfo and go to work x_x... Will it work? Like, since my account is registered in the US, like a US addy, etc... does it matter? Can I somehow cancel the US version in my current account and just put the EU one in instead? Phantasy Star was *real* bitchy about that at launch. Importers couldn't play b/c of address conflicts and it's made me paranoid of importing MMOs.

You should just be able to add the UK Code to your account. But you might want to double-check at the official forums to be certain.

I actually asked there first. 34 views and not one reply. They're all too busy slitting wrists over Might working or not. Someone tagging their mobs woe is me, I lost a piddly amount of exp, and the like.

Hence the sig now. Not my work, but it sums up the feel of the place quite well anymore lately.

Well, I hear that. I met some true assholes on those forums.

Worst case scenario, you have to create another account. Which means canceling your current one, but that's not the end of the world. I hope you get it figured out.^^

Are you guys still playing this MMO? If so, what are your opinions on it? I played in open beta for a week I think it was, and it seemed fairly fun. But now that it has been released to retail for some time, have a lot of things changed?

I stopped playing when I hit 50 in two weeks.

Well that's fair enough. I guess I'll just stick with WoW until I find something better.

Ever since I left FFXI, I haven't been able to find my place in any game. WoW I found friends (due to real life friends also playing it), but now that I have 2 characters at level 40 I am finding it hard to progress without getting bored.

Nothing. I barely played and I hit 50. Totally solo (since no one likes to party with captains). I was going to stick with it, but it really rubbed me the wrong way that I was able to level so fast without even trying to level fast.
