Something finally arrived in my mail today

Grats! I'd say it's the best out of the more 'modern' FFs. But that's just my humble opinion. It's definitely very fun and addictive though. I enjoyed it immensely. Glad to see you guys finally get to play it!

Congrats, it was a fun game, highly enjoyable and made me think more of FF6/7/8 than the travesty that was FF10. You actually get to explore in this one, oh, and try getting the Zodiac spear, it's awesome

I got the zodiac spear around level 40. Fun challenge getting to the spear and back but it broke the game horribly. I have to switch to a different weapon when I fight a boss or I can kill them with out any real strategy.

The game is loads of fun. I have been playing FFXI more than I usually do so I put FFXII down for now.

Enjoy!! I actually still need to run through the boss dungeon and beat the game, but then it will end and I will be until FFXII: Reverent Wings comes out in the US (maybe that should be an "if", but hey DS is region free, so who cares!)

I actually liked how you could do that, though you're not going to get the Zodiac Spear that early (if at all) on your first run through the game unless you've read strategy guides. Which ruins all the fun if you haven't played through the game already.

FFXII was the first time a Final Fantasy game took me over 50 hours to beat... And even then I still haven't gotten around to most of the sidequest stuff (I started over and power levelled and got my Zodiac Spear early).

April 27th in Japan. NA date is sighted as N/A, unknown and TBA, depending on where you look.

FFXII was the first time a Final Fantasy game took me over 50 hours to beat... And even then I still haven't gotten around to most of the sidequest stuff (I started over and power levelled and got my Zodiac Spear early).

I got the Zodiac spear when my main party (Vaan, Ashe, Penelo) were lvls 30-35, the other 3 people were all at lvl 13 I think it took me about 70-80 hours to beat, while getting most of the side quests done but I had not done many of the Hunts, maybe about 15 or so.

Still, 70-80 hours to complete the game while not hurrying through it is pretty respectable, and there is plenty that I left undone, I am very very happy with this game.

Was that your first run, and did you already know how to get the Zodiac Spear beforehand?

As I said, on your first run you won't get the Zodiac Spear much later in the game (if at all) unless you've read about it before hand. :p
