It hasn't been released in the US or in European territories, though. It can do well on cell phones in Japan but that doesn't change the fact most western gamers detest playing games on cell phones. Its tacky and uncomfortable.
At any rate, SE has beem mum on its US release and a lack of any US or EU release is a disservice to fans of FFVII. I also don't appreciate that it's chaptered content and not a complete game from the beginning, but chopped up into chapter downloadable every so often. That's not acceptable for a single player game.
The need to release a complete and upgraded version for DS or PSP, and they should definately try to. Its not much of a compilation if we can't all get the whole thing
