Looks good. I've been watching over 13 for some time now, and I enjoy the character design, and even the sci-fi path. But then again, what do you expect from someone who lists KotOR as one of their favorite RPGs? :p

Buuuut...PS3 exclusive? No matter how nice 13 looks, or how much I used to buy every platform Sony made, nothing is going to sell me a PS3. I can get a Wii and a 360 for $50 more than that one alone. Lemme think about iiiiiit.... which should I get? Hmm. When the only thing that interests me on the PS3 *is* FF, while the others have a larger group of things I'm looking forward to, not such a hard choice.

Blu-Ray requires HD TV to really be noticibly different, even seeing it on a HDTV, I was not impressed with the improvement/cost ratio. So thanks but no thanks, I'll be content with FF12 until the fourth gen of consoles makes that mass of machinery worth my while.

Oh, and it's not that I don't have the money, I quite do, I just refuse to spent it. :p Tired of people throwing that 'if u 2 poor, not Sony's faultlol' thing in there. The money is a non issue.

Well you have to understand that they're not the same game split into multiple parts. These are two completely different games, made by completely different development teams and are coming out at different times. FF Versus XIII could very well show up two years after XIII, if Nomura's track record for delays is any indication.

It'd be pretty ridiculous to sell both games as one when they'll both cost an equal amount to Square Enix.

A cookie to someone who can point out "classic" (i.e. semi-modified for new game) FF weapons that the silver haired dude wields in the teaser. (yeah its hard to see, might have to look at older stills of that scene)

Then call it FFXIV and release it a long time after FFXIII. There's no reason to buy a bunch of seperate games at one time just because they all share the FFXIII symbol. I'm not usually one to have a lot of money so spending $150 on a trio of games I don't even know are good yet isn't worth it. I'd rather buy a PSP then get all three games at once. Also, if it's released a few years after XIII, doesn't that defeat the purpose of having them all in one complitation?



In all honesty, FFXII may be the last worthwhile FF.

Which is exactly my point. XII brought a new life to the series and I was hoping that it would keep getting better, yet still retain what made the series good in the first place. However, I can see that it's soon going to be an action based game like KH, and we ALL know how good KH was

Umm, it might a bit too soon to start condemning this (these) game(s).

Then call it FFXIV and release it a long time after FFXIII.

Because Final Fantasy installments are completely independent. I would much rather prefer the whoring out of the FFXIII universe than to start a trend of separate installments sharing the same world. And these sound much more promising than all the FFVII spin offs, especially if they make an interesting world for the games to share.

KH2 is a fantastic game. Granted, there were aspects that could be improved on, but since I actually like the game, I won't flame it like I broke apart Halo 2.

I'm not actually bitter, I'm just not falling for this....experiance (since my grammer fails me of late, dunno why). KH was interesting. The gameplay was ok, and the graphics were pretty good (Especially CoM. Those near PS2 quality cutscenes completely awed me), but the story...for lack of a better word...sucked. Big time. Easily predictable and underwhelming. Infact, the only one which was good story-wise was CoM. And that's only cause it promised something amazing, which KH2 failed to give.


Now, back onto the topic, I'm not bashing the game itself YET, only an idiot would do that at this early stage, which all we have to go by gameplay wise are a few words from SE and a screenshot or two. Basically, it was nothing but eye candy and a teaser for fanboys atm. Only noobs would do that at this point.

That was already done(FFX and X-2...), and if SE has taught me anything, if FF fanboys like the main character cause he's "cool", they're gonna milk that game for all it's worth. Plus, Cloud has had more cameos in games then you think (Ehrgiez, FFT, Idatadaki Street Special, Chocobo series, etc.), so don't think they won't whore it out. Hell, even the fact that FFTA characters are in XII should be enough to show you
