  • Anyone Got Their Paws On The New FFXll Yet?

From what I have gathered, this one is for the PS2 too.
I used gamespot.com to see a lot of game screens, video footage, trailers, and a couple of reviews too, and everything look so awsome!

Players in my ls have made few comments on this new one too, but I've only just noticed from gamespot.com that there is even a FFXlll on the new PS3!
WHOAH! I was beginnng to think that maybe they should have made FFXll for the PS3, but they made a sequel to that for the PS3 instead. Yet no one has mentioned anything about having the new PS3 or even FFXlll either.

    Anyhow, to FFXll.
Is there anyone here who has been out and bought it yet?
I'm just curious to know..... is it another MMORPG like this current FFXl game, or is it just a single RPG game which doesn't require an internet connection to play, thus I guess there maybe no monthly fees in this way either. But please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It's been out for almost 2 months now. It's not online. But uses a lot of similar system with FFXI.

transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Considering there's no less than 4 topics currently on the front page of this forum (Video Games) that talk specifically about FFXII (12), I'd say there's quite a few of us that have it.

It's a typical Final Fantasy single player RPG, but with a lot of the combat elements borrowed from FFXI. There are no monthly fees (obviously).

FFXIII will not be out for ages, perhaps another year or two. It's not a direct sequel either, like most other FF games in the series.

FFIII gameplay will look like FFXII CS.

There will be a spinoff of XII on the DS. As for XIII, there is going to be 2 versions of the game: traditional RPG and Action RPG. Think the action one is called Versus. Then there are also whispers of a third online, but I doubt it.

The Versus one would be the (online) multiplayer one.

Just a small point, Snowball is in the UK and as yet FFXII hasn't released here yet. Not going to be for another few months I believe. Added to the fact the Vana diel Collection hasn't been released in Europe and is showing no signs of ever being released.
