    Not really surprising:

    The Wii is cheaper
The Wii had more units to sell in the first place.

well alot more wiis came out mainly :D but also some odd things happened with wii coming out. some stores had a eprfect balance of 300 wii and 300 zelda twilight princess. while others had an odd balance of 3 wii and 8 zelda twilight princess. which makes no sense

While the Wii probably did sell more then ps3, don't trust that site.

It's can't count for one thing. It has no real information.

You need real numbers like either publically released or from wel known groups that can actually count.

For one thing its 360 numbers are completely false. You don't magically raise numbers in between minutes or hours.

No one can count like that. It's like the US cenus happening every minute, which is stupid.

It takes a long time to count the data, cross referencecd, error corrected, and then released.

I think it's a good thing if the Wii sold so many units at launch, because the price and some other stuff like the virtual console might let Nintendo survive this generation.

The Wii is the perfect console for a christmas present, it's cheap, it's easy to get into and it's here in enough quatities. But next year after christmas is over and the PS3 hardware production picks up (and more games come out) I doubt the Wii will be able to even go near the numbers the PS3 seems like it's gonna sell.

Only time will tell, but for now merry christmas Nintendo lol.

7,000,000+ Million does seem a lot for Xbox360. It was capped at 6,000,000 for a long while. Then again, Gears of War came out...

A few q's about the Wii, if anyone would like to answer.

                  Can you play two player?
How much better are the graphics than the gamecube?
How tired are you from jumping around your room?
                  Thanks Kazuki.

Zelda is a single-player game, with the exception of the Four Swords games.
The graphics get some nice touches here and there, but its still the Gamecube game.
You can play in from your couch and your arms won't get tired.

As for the sales numbers, Nintendo outselling PS3 in number is not surprising since (1) Nintendo usually releases systems when they're ready and (2) they're not Sony, they don't fake a shortage to create hype.

Of course, I'll just wait here to listen to the token excuses about PS3 "outselling" the Wii because it costs more and that Sony being so hi-tech that a shortage on such a high-end system should not come as a surprise. In fact, you should be ashamed for ridiculing Sony about the shortage at launch, they're giving you such an amazing value, you should be paying more for this system. Har har.

Thank you. I really like the commercials where everyone is jumping around the room and really getting into the game.

                          Lol, since you're expecting it....

All I got to say though is for people suddenly attacking Sony for this have fickle memories. XBox 360 intentionally did it that is without a doubt especially when you really look at the technical advances in it. There is hardly any but a few trinket advances. Not to mention designs were so rushed and so specific it just wreaks of a crap job creation.

PS3 however, seems people forgot they had a release date of March 13th which they had to go back and offically announce it was being delayed. This is a very risky move especially after all the boasting they had done of it being superior. That's why I'm less inclined to believe it was completly intentional. Not to say they might of had some intent to it, but it's definatly something companies tend to do a lot.

It creates hype and also has a sort of safety net for the company. It's like dipping their toe in the pool first to see how cold it is. I mean for a company would you want to spent some million on the development, and then another some million on the production just for it to flop? or spend some million on the development, and then spend a few hundred thousand on production to see how well it sells before going full production with it?

Besides that aren't they already boasting like another 650,000 to be produced and shipped by Dec. 1st? Means more PS3 out to sell by like Dec. 20th-30 ish. At least that's what I recall reading somewere, think it was a GameStop news article.

Zelda is fun. I mean even if people say that the graphics was not as impressive as say a ps3, it's more fun with the use of the nunchuck and Wii remote.
A lot of people were picking up Zelda as the 1st game to get besides the fact that it was one of the better 1st party games.

So far, I only played 2 hours, and I only gotten my sling shot, and havn't hit up my 1st major dungeon.
My brother was playing longer than I was, and I believe he's past his 1st dungeon, with the Gale Boomerang, I watched him beat the boss, and it was more of a puzzle fight than anything.

You don't have to swing the remote so hard for it to detect movement, it's fairly sensitive, and you can also adjust the sensitivity. Only sometimes during the menu usage it is hard to move the remote around because it moves quite fast. (my screen in my room is only a 19" with the sensor on the stand on top of my screen.)

                            1) Yes you can play 2 player, however I was unable to get a 2nd Remote & Nunchuck. EVERYWHERE was sold out. It was ridiculous.

                            2) Graphics I would say are a little better. Not too much, it's relatively the same. Remember, Nintendo isn't touting it as a graphic giant machine, but a "fun" machine, and it is. I can't get my g/f to play ps2, but she just picked up the Wii and loves it.

                            3) Tennis is tiring (I was trying to do "Twist Serve" (Prince of Tennis ;p)). Boxing is tiring. (I go to the gym 2-3 times a week run for 2 miles each time, I also finally found out how to cheat in boxing...) Bowling isn't that tiring, but it's hard for me to "release" the ball (B button, trigger right hand) at the right moment to get good momentum to toss the bowling ball. You can also curve the bowling ball (found out AFTER I read the manual) by twisting the Wii Remote)

The Wii is worth every cent!!

I would not say the same for the PS3 at this point in time. I'm waiting a year till they have games worth buying and a system worth paying for. (Why couldn't they have force-feedback?!!) I think they're trying to offer more than the public needs graphics-wise. Not many people are willing to spend that much money for a system that won't look optimal on their regular TV.

Zelda is pretty much the best game I've ever played. It just gets better and better. Wii sports is surprisingly awesome as well, the whole family can have fun with this game.

Get a wii! You won't regret it.

**Edit** as far as getting tired, Tennis makes you WANT to jump around and move, but you don't have to make large gestures to play. Zelda i've started playing while lying down or even sitting on the floor. And my TV is not huge, about 27".
