Yes, it's a standard 2.5" (not really standard). It's it confirmed across the net to be swappable. JP got it last week ya know.

It takes roughly 18-20% of the HDD space. So a 160 gig would give you 120ish space to do as you please.

Remember that 2.5" don't come cheap. They are ment for notebooks.

I suppose if you really want to save money, you can buy a converter for 3.2" and have it stick out.

And importantly, swapping HDDs does not void your warrenty. So no fear of that.

All minor points can be answer in the online manual for ps3 here:

Gears of War, Tiger Woods 07, Call of Duty 2 and Fight Night Round 3 did save his Xbox 360 from getting traded in for a PS3.
I agree. I just don't see the point of playing a video game of golf?!?!?!
It's going to take a while for game publishers to actually learn how to use any new console, and then to make games that will use that console's full capabilities.
Call of Duty 3, Gears of War and especially Mass Effect are prime examples of this.

I'm fairly sure that most of the first-generation wave of games on the PS3 and Wii will be just "so-so", with the exception of games that have been in development a very long time (Twilight Princess).

The Xbox 360 is just now hitting its stride with games like Gears of War. I don't think we'll really see who the winner is until about a year or two from now, after the development studios get their sea legs on each platform and start pushing boundaries.

          Re: More PS3 problems

The main issue with Tiger Woods '07 on the 360 was that it had half the content of the PS2 and Xbox versions. Sure it was prettier, but it was missing half the courses and features.

              Re: More PS3 problems

Golf can be fun depending on how the developers make it with hope much you like it in the first place. With all things it comes down to presentation.

Gears of War...i'm mixed. The hype ended and it's...well...more on the generic side. I'll give it a couple of updates for net play.

But really, it's not as pretty as some people make it out. It's very detailed, but greyed and dullish(mood yes I know).

I think more then anything 360 suffers the same thing xbox1 suffered, narrow audience.

Ps3 hopefully will be like the powerful ps2 and ps1, and have far reaching wings.

This is why golf can be fun, it's depends preferences more then anything.

I'm playing ff12, and moving to tales of abyss. GEoW lasted me..oh 6 hours...didn't finish yet, but anyone who tries to needs a prozac.

I missed my ps3 preorder line, so I'l just have to tough it out on my aging ps2. I am likely to get a ps3 before it finally RIPs...

Since we haven't gotten US PS3 yet, I don't know if it's going to play JP region, though it should.

I'm looking foward to Amored Core 4.

                Me too.

Also looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 4. The chameleon suit looks incredibly fun.

So far MGS4 is the only must have game for me in the PS3 lineup. GT looks great but the series has disappointed me lately so I'll wait on reviews of that one.

Isn't Elder Scrolls: Oblivion a launch title for PS3? I can't afford one, but that would be the title I would try and get. Also, the new Tony Hawk should be fun.

                      Re: More PS3 problems

Got pushed back to after xmas due to them wanted to set up the microtransactions of online content.

i.e. buy extra armor online for the game.

So sony keeping the playstation store hush hush pushed it back.

Lame reason for Oblivion, but money is money and they did do that for 360

Pot calling the kettle remark eh?

Almost all the games you mentioned, I have rented or own more or less. I have coombined more hours on ff12 then those games.

I have no fantasy that I won't be playing ps2 games for PS3 as well.

So...$2.50 for horse armor...is an extra quest?

                                Re: More PS3 problems

Am I the only person on the planet who thinks $600 for a PS3 is a drop in the bucket compared to the hundreds to thousands you'll spend on games for it?

I mean... seriously. Sure, it's a lot of dough, but at the rate most games are going these days with $50-60 per game, it's really not "that" much different from an XBox 360 price-wise.

Now the Wii... that's a different story. I like the Nintendo Wii, and think it has a lot of potential, but it's not the price that attracts me there - it's the nifty controllers that promise some really different gameplay.
