Picked it up today, but haven't played it yet, I'm thinking my roomate is about to get booted off the living room tv so i can crack it open and check it out.

Mine was in my mailbox today, just as it should have been. Beyond an incredible opening (so freakin' cinematic), the game looks very promising. I've gotten about three hours in and can't wait to get back to it.

I've also taken a look at the CE DVD, and the history of the series featurette is a little disappointing, but worth the extra $10. Although personally I really like the normal DVD case better, because of the cover art.

We got the CE Guide too for the artwork book. That's pretty cool as well.

If we want a copy of the guide for reference later, I may just buy a normal one so as not to mess up the CE version

UK release date is next year sometime when SE remembers us, not much point in me repeating what others have said. Hope you NA people have fun :D .

I'm in no hurry, as it is right now I don't have a PS - of any variety - so it doesn't even matter.

I picked mine up at midnight. I showed up about an hour before the store opened. 8th in line at the time and at about 11:30pm the line begins to grow exponentially. when the store finally opens the line was pretty much single file and curving around the block and still growing. This was at a Game stop in Mira mesa Sendiego. And here i thought i going to be 1 of maybe 6 people "moroinic enough, as my friends called me that day" to go to the midnight release haha.

I just picked mine up on my way to work yesterday. Saw no reason to be out that late when I had to be up early for work and wouldn't get any good play time in anyway. So far I'm loving the story. The only thing I'm confused on is... why a love song for a theme song when everyone and their dog says there's zero romantic overtones to the game?

If You create a thread or continue this and mention part of the story, please use the spoiler box (someone can help you if required), SE kept the story close to themselves and apparently it is very good and has lots of twists and turns that are very surprising. I would rather find out myself by playing rather than have someone spoil it for me, especially as I read this forum using the new posts way all the time so I don't always twig the subject until I am reading it.

Just picked up FFXII last night on the way home. It's really amazing - and I'm fairly hard to please.

It looks stunning. And from what other FFXI players have been saying, the controls take a while to get used to eg. lack of auto-run feature, and moving about to cancel a spell

Yeah the ability to move and still cast a spell really threw me. I spent about 20 minutes forcibly waiting for spells to finish since I'm so used to doing so in FFXI; imagine my surprise when I realized I could move and cast at the same time.

agreed...although i desperatly want it now prolly gonna wait another week or so...but i am very suprised that my sister has not complained about me not going out to get it(i have to buy it since shes trying to save up for somthing(get job, i cant!...yet))but in return for me buying it i get all claims to it and she is requried not to pass me in the story line

Edit:Played demo for it a while back...and it was awesome i cant wait till i get it.
