Seeing as how I just came from WoW I can say that this is very old since they chained all the big bosses to their spawn areas now (which sucks). But I did this to SW a long time ago too hehe.
Kazzak is actually really easy unless he gets to his powerful phase where is he unbeatable if you dont kill him in like 5 minutes.
Kiting bosses used to be a really fun part of WoW like Azuregos to Orgrimmar.
Or Taerar to Goldshire...ahh...crispy newbies ftw :D.

Edit: And to add why he is invincible, everyone he kills he gets healed for 25000 hp and when he goes super in SW he 1 shots people and is constantly healed therefore, invincible.

25000 HP? That's gotta suck.

Well being as a player tank (warriors) in wow have close to 8k in the VERY BEST GEAR, 25k isnt so hot. I just recently quit WoW again to return to my beloved DRG, and i have to say i miss critting Mobs for 1K+ (this is not even a high number on wow, many players with very good gear can HIT (meaning each hit, not just a critical hit) hits for 1k+.

I remember seeing the corpses when i logged on and went "wtf" luckily i played a a paladin, so i went some nice place and shielded to get rid of it and didnt log on until they hotfixed it.

This reminds me of something that happened in EQ1 on the pvp server. I think it was a bard charmed a priest of discord (more or less unkillable NPC) in the halfling town and had it decimate anybody that entered the town.

Hehe, that's kind of funny. Kind of like when someone brings a Bogy to the Selbina zone ... or at least before the MPK patch. Just on a much larger scale.

I had never seen any video of WoW until now, I didn't realize how really different it is from FFXI. I guess I figured most MMORPGs were basically the same. I would love to try playing it, but FF takes up too much of my life already.

Kazzak is actually a very easy boss and I've killed him many times. After 5 minutes he goes supreme mode and starts spamming shadow bolt volley like that. He's not unbeatable in supreme mode either except when he's in a town killing lots of people and healing up too fast.

From a distance, I've gotta appreciate the system that's flexible enough to allow things to go horribly wrong like that. You'd never see people running screaming from Guivre in Bastok not because FFXI's system is stronger, but because it's more limited. If I ever saw that happen I'd be laughing my butt off while I tasted street. Remember that one glitch or hack or whatever that made Vrtra spawn up by Spook?

I totally agree. I'd love to see something like that happen, I'd laugh my ass off. Even in outdoor areas, the whole MPK thing was fixed before I started playing, so I don't know what it was like. Sounds real amusing though.

And now that I think about it some more... that WoW NM trouncing a city... is also similar to something in EQ1 (I'm a broken record, ain't I?).

There was a sleeping dragon in a tomb (yeah, not dead, just sleeping). A guild could trigger it to wake up if they killed all its guardians (not necessarily an easy feat). Once it woke up, it would literally walk through its zone and kill everyone in there... then zone out and kill kill everything in that zone... until it obliterated all PC characters on that continent.

Best part, this could only be done once per server

You're thinking of Kerafyrm (aka the Sleeper) and the bard you mentioned earlier was Chamsy or Chansy, something like that anyway.

Fansy the Famous! And yes, Kerafyrm was exactly what I was thinking. FFXI needs more player unlocked/alterable events similar to Sleeper's Tomb.
