Well, since they haven't even yet released Final Fantasy 12*, I doubt you'll find much information here. You might want to try google.

Anyways, from all the screen shots of FFXIII it looks like it will be a single player ps3 game. Like most RPG's. However it may change and it may not.

Instead of telling someone to go look it up, since you have quite a large amount of free time to do 1-2 line posts, maybe you could you know... help someone out by looking it up for them?

EDIT: X-2 is pronounced ten-two, not twelve.

Um, Final Fantasy X-2 was a spinoff game, a kind of continuation of 10's story...

Back on topic, is anyone else really, REALLY irked that there are not one, not TWO, but THREE different games that make up Final Fantasy XIII ?

So to answer your question, thus far, Final Fantasy XIII has been reported to be on the PS3 only at this time. Not only that, but it is split into 2 games: Final Fantasy XIII being a "traditional" RPG (so they claim), and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which is more of an "Action Adventure" . Make of that what you will, because that's all the info that's been released. The third game, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, is on Cellphones.

All three games comprise something called Fabula Nova Crystallis, or "Tale of the new Crystals"

Square Enix seems to be pretty gung ho about this "Content across multiple platforms" stuff, so if Final Fantasy XIII(s) are a success, they're probably going to start producing more of the same everywhere.

For me, it's getting irritating. Yes I love Final Fantasy, yes I think XIII looks amazing...

But not only is it going to be available on a $600 minimum system (because really, the 'cheap' version of the PS3 has irreplaceable doo-dads that might come into play later,) but now I have to buy 2 games at $50-70 dollars a pop, and get a cellphone (with who knows HOW many hidden fees and charges, and that's even if that version's RELEASED in America!) to get le package totale?!

It was bad enough that they made incomplete games (Release in Japan, release in America, then go 'oh wait, Japan, here's the Ultimix final version + Last Mission International Version Director's Cut that you HAVE to buy to get ALL the story, plus a couple of new items! America, you don't get any, sorry!), and now there's all this episodic content jazz floating around.

X-2 is the sequel to FFX, if you really want to call it that. It's kinda like the recent Disney sequels, cheap and really unnecisary (although I made the same mistake when I first bought it, X-2 was my first FF game).

Before you even think about what FFXIII is going to be, I think she should we wait for SE to finish the US version of FFXII. Unless you can read Japanese of course.

For example, I was miffed that I missed out on the extra keyblades in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, which weren't present in the USA version. Did I need the keyblades? Not at all. But I missed out ;_;

Well, luckily you can just find a friend with the other console or game or whatever and play it there, or borrow or something.

(I know how you feel with the FF VII compilation. I have 0 consoles, meaning I miss out on anything other than Advent Children, didn't hold it against SE though)
