My taste in gaming is geared more toward oldschool RPGs and gaming in general before it all turned into high-profile voice acting and crazy production values. Go download Seiken Densetsu 3 or Terranigma. Both are quite fun.

since I've stopped playing FFXI, I've gone back to my never-finished RPGs: Baldur's Gate 2, Icewind Dale 2, Temple of Elemental Evil and SW: Knights of the Old Republic.

oh and FF 8. need to finish that one too.

baldurs and icewind, played all the 4 games and respective expansions with 2 other friends, we got through them all together online, it was a blast, very enjoyable, those are classics

Since you have a comp, get Lufia 2 on SNES emulator. ONLY if you already own it for the console. Anyway, I would much rather have the 16 bit rpgs than anything else.

I'd try out Phantasy Star Online I & II. They're pretty fun.

I agree very strongly on getting PSO it is prolly my favorite game of all time and i have over 600 hours clocked in....yes the dungeons will get repetative going from normal mode to ultimate but overall its a very good game and i think on EGM it made around 30th or so on the top 100 games
(again not exactly sure about 30 but somewhere around there)

I'm for sure gonna get PSU to add to my list of great RPG's so sure maybe when it comes out and i get it we can play together..hmmm i forget what consoles it comes out for its for the 360 and PS2 right?
(and yeah the people still on PSO are scum i normally solo online quests or just stay offline)(but its not like you HAVE to play online for a good game so i still reccomend it for the gamecube)

Chrono Trigger is pretty cool since it has different endings. I also like Super Mario RPG. It was kinda silly but it was very entertaining.

Suikoden 1 and 2. if you can actually get them still though... they are like 80$ each on ebay. very expensive but worth it. best single play RPGs three years in a row =D i loved them. i still got mine and they work perfect.

and if you really fall in love with it like i did buy 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 coming out soon.

you can transfer your chars from 1 - 2 and 2 - 3 and 3 - 4 and so on. number one has over 108 characters alone you can use and unlock =D each one has like 100-120 characters its so cool. you can really have fun with it. and the graphics are amazing!

Been looking for a while, but I can't find any good ones... I only have a computer, a gamecube and a DS(includes GBA) but all the decent loking RPGs are for PS2 ; ;
