Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
I liked Tales of Symphonia for the cube. It's a Namco game and pretty much a direct ripoff of the Secret of Mana storyline, but I'm cool with that because Square's been dragging that IP through the mud. Imo, Symphonia is what Square should have made instead of Chrono Cross and all the Mana games after the SNES. Good story, fun, interesting characters, flashy moves and magic spells. Only thing about it is it has a real time combat system, for which the Penny Arcade guys called it pure hell or something, but I enjoyed it. And if you have a g/f or someone you can play with regularly you can hook up multiple controllers and each control one character in battle.

My favorite is Xenosaga. Episode 1 was a masterpiece, but your heart shall broken with Episode II. Why, oh why did they have to change the combat system.MisterCookie: Alla refugee since May 2006

Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
My recommendations: Baten Kaitos, Tales of Symphonia and Skies of Arcadia. They're the best RPGs on Gamecube. And there's Fire Emblem too, which is strategy RPG. For GBA there's mainly strategy RPGs, like two Fire Emblem games and FFTA. For PC, if you got enough oomph on your PC, buy Oblivion. I guarantee, once you'll play it, you'll want to play if all the time.

Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
I went to www.nzone.com today and downloaded the Titan Quest demo, if your into diablo RPG hack n slash it would be a good one with tons of room to expand your character, only single player, and kind of gets a hang when playing for long peroids of time because it uses a lot of power, but check out that site and it will do a system check to verify if your computer meets dev/consumer specs, if you doint like the game at least yoiu will find the website VERY handy, I know I did________________________________________________

Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
I'll agree that Tales of Symphonia is good. Oblivion is good but the glitvhes and bug get annoying after a while. FFIV has been released for GBA and has been change enough that I'll actually play it a lot. The new Mario and Luigi is out for DS, I've not tried it though but the first one was good. Its old but if you can get hold of it, Planescape Torment is the best RPG I've played.

Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
Gamecube:
Skies of Arcadia
PC:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
GBA:
Final Fantasy I&II: Dawn of Souls
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Golden Sun
Phantasy Star Collection
So very, very many more...
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I hope it helps.

Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
They say oblivion got a bit nerfed compared to morrowind, i got the game 2 days ago and i have been completely amazed at the atmosphere the game has, it took me nearly 3 hours to get out of the first dungeon, and thats just where you begin the game, a sort of tutorial. The prison was so claustrophobic (sp) that i never dared running through, i allways walked very quietly, very intense atmosphere indeed. Then i came outside and it was very reminiscent of morrowind, and that made me glee in joy because morrowind atmosphere + awesome graphics = joygasmic experience.
Who else loves the physics in this game? i killed some crabs (NO!!!!) with bow and arrow and they died rolling down a hill with their claws and pincers flying around like some muppet you threw down the stairs, very nicely done, i actually went around killing more stuff and trying to do it in different ways just to experience the physics of the game, i then shut down at 3 am, plotting to call in sick today just so i could play more... but alas, my sense of responsability got the best of me.
In conclusion, my suggestion is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Get it.signatures are for pussies mew mew mew, here's mine

Re: Anyone know of any good RPGs?
I agree with you Mog, 100%. Used to be good, then they took out almost all the classes and messed up what made the game exciting. Now better than playing with garbage as of right now :\
Just was saying that since the makers of KOTOR were rumored to be taking it over, it might get a little better. I don't expect any progress to be made for the next few years, though.
