Typos...?

I was just playing FFX (I had to restart the game because my brother lost the old memory card, where I nearly had it completed) and I discovered a very strange thing. A typo. Surely a wonderful company like Square Enix would proofread their games before they sell them, but apparently they can mess things up too.

After Yuna performs the sending in Kilika, you wake up in a little inn thing, right? Well there's a little boy running around. Talk to him and he says "I'm gonna be a blitzball when I grow up!"

Man, kid, I feel sorry for you. If you think being a blitzball player is going to be too hard then I don't think being the blitzball would be any better.

Has anyone else spotted things like this in other games?

I don't think that was a typo. I think he really meant he was going to be a blitzball (hence the running around like crazy).

He's a kid for goodness sakes, of course its not a typo. They say crazy sh!t.

Yeah, if I recall you talk to all the kids around there some do say some goofy stuff. Kind of like the content was intentional. Didn't seem like the "All your base belong to us." kind of typo. If anything could be a translation error need the JP version of the game to compaire and decide.

I remember wanting to be a Blitzball when I was a kid, it's a perfectly normal stage in a child's developmental cycle.

I still liked "Uh-oh the truck have started to move!" From the original Metal Gear. Anyway, yeah, was probably intentional. Most video game that have those problems are usually just bad grammar translations rather than total omission of words.
