  • Video games as a career?

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q275Qh4ESao

    Interesting interview. Although it seems like the guy says the same things over and over again.

    I personally don't prefer FPS's. My brother on the other hand loves them. He plays Counter Strike at least 4 hours everyday just for his own personal entertainment. 2D fighters are more my style. If they had a Guilty Gear competition around where I live I would definitely participate.

    The brands that the interviewy lists off, I have never even heard of, has anyone else heard of/used those brands before??

    Anyways, I just saw it and thought it was interesting.

    Do you mean products that are hawked by Fatality? Yes, I've seen him many times in game mags doing ads hawking certain products. It's like some sports star doing an ad. He is also coming out with his own stuff, although I've not seen or tried any of it. He'll be dethroned one day so he better make his $$ now before someone younger and faster bumps his rear off the top of the hill.

    The problem with making money this way is that you need sponsors and you also need to be VERY VERY good in order to make a decent living at it. Most people have jobs besides doing this, so its more of a hobby than a career.

        Ah, I thought he said he had his own line of products, like graphic cards or something. I didn't know that he just sponsored peoples stuff. It's a cool hobby to get paid for though.

        As for Suichi, I live in Maine, where nobody cares about video games. =P And I am a huge Millia and Chipp user. Although I also like Ky and Bridget. The only characters I don't like are Potemkin because he's way too slow and Faust because he's just so bizarre. Other than that I can play pretty decently with all the other characters.

          Ah, that's so far away ; ;

          Pot can move across the screen just fine, it's just his size that really is his weakness. <.<
