Yes its possible, but you had better be a real hard core player. Before I 'paused' on playing FFX-2 I had a great guide to 100% completition on the first run. A lot of things are very tedious and frustration levels can be high. At once point I looked into what the big deal was about the 100% complete ending, to find that you really only get a small non CG cutscene added in to the overall "good" ending. Im at 87% completetion or something right now- and on track for 100%, however after learning that all my efforts are for a minor addition to the ending, I might just go beat the game as it stands. Anyway, if you're a hardcore player, 100% isnt too hard, just very time consuming.

If i understood correctly you are currently playing the game right?
If that is the case, I hope you do not mind asking me some questions!!

I was "on tarck" until 30%ish... or so I think, but when I got to the part with Callia, and the capture the chocobo minigame in the Hiroad, i think that is where i messed up. I did see the chocobo running away, and i gathered some feathers, but I NEVER got the mini game thing.. before i knew it... i was on a timer to go fight this mob and clasko was there with 2 chocobos wearing some medal thing.

After that my % according to m guide is 0.2% shy!!

Can I still get 100%

What is that extra CG i get?

You know when I saw the title of this thread the very first thing that popped into my mind was "OMG, you have my sympathy!" I was not a fan of this game but I guess some people enjoyed it. It's good that we are all different, well at least its good for SE!

Well let us know what you honestly think about the game when you've finished it. Compare it to FFX for us....I'm assuming you've played FFX??

lol, the game wasnt all that bad. But i cant say anything about Legend of Dragoon cuz i never played it.

but i recomend Crono Cross. Anyway, i thought the game was bad enough to not play through it too many times just to get 100% on everything.

Never skip a cutscene. I skipped once, the one where you have to play the card game over and over, so I kept seeing it until I won the whole thing. I skipped it the last time and lost 1%. Went a ways afterward before I realized what I did, was too lazyto go back and do it all again......so I quit playing. Btw, if you don't get 100% the first time through, you keep your percentage whenever you beat it and start again (as well as keep all your equipment and dress spheres). I'm not sure though if you say ended with 99%, if you have to do the one thing that you missed last time for getting 100 or just have to do anything that gives you 1%.

Ya I don't really understand a lot of the flack that X-2 gets, it was different then the usual FF but it was still fun to play. I liked X-2 a lot better then Legend of Dragoon since Dragoon felt like they forgot there was a story going on until the third disk, and everyone you came across was a Dragoon. I will second the recommendation of Chrono Cross, i love that game.

I am currently playing it now but since I returned to Vana'diel it has been sitting around. I didn't really care about getting to 100%; I just cared about getting all of the DS and GG. The game is alright but it did start to get a little boring. I will finish it one day but who knows when.

Warming, some little spoilers....

Well.. i picked up anotehr FAQ and i am "on tack" on this FAQ, I just pray that I get the 100%! I am currently Now at 46.4% and I MUST admit that the story is growing and growing.... Bahamut... omg... though there were not aeons anymore! I decided to stop before the Sphere break tournament!

I cant wait to keep playing and I hope my effort was worth it!

And for those of you who mentioned Chrono Cross, OMFG... amazing game, easily one of the very very best! I finished it, but never got all the characters, And i dont think i ever got all "light atmospehre" to see that ultimate Serges attack. I so want to play it again!

You can get 100% completion easily through two seperate runs of the game. (Just side with a different faction each time.) If it didn't stop at 100%, I'd say you could hit like 108% or something. It's possible to get 100% in a single run through. If you start a new game, you don't get completion points for doing stuff you've already done, but you can get a bit of completion just by going through the story again.

Little spoiler on the "perfect" ending

I didn't mind the "girly" stuff on it so much (I actually liked the "One Thousand Words" song), but the side plots were annoying. The battles were interesting at first, but got old near the end of the game. (Set cursor to memory, spam X button, win.)

I admit I enjoyed the game, it was something different to the usual linear final fantasy's. Being non linear you chooses where to get etc. though it still has a a small linear contingent as you have to go to at least 3 zones to compelte the chapter. I got to 93%, the thing I couldn't do was align all the lightning conductor in the Thunder plains the mini game where you have to press the certain buttons got very frustrating, it took my 10 attempts to win the sphere tournament and get the Lady luck dressphere. The cut scenes were very nice, especially 1000 words.

If you start the game my friends and I cracked up with a friends comment when yuna said "Hey look the mountains are floating" to which my friend replied "yeah man this stuffs great"

I liked the dress sphere system was soemthign different and gave you more choice onto which aspect of your character you wanted to be.
