The stores that carry consoles where I live, don't let you pre-order. I hate living in Pennsylvania. Everything here sucks. >_<
thats Why I left this place .. ^^
I miss the buildings.. but not everything else.. I want the "city" feeling.. just not the city.
She wields guns, and she's stupidly nimble and agile, either shes hanging on something, or knows how to fly x)
She wields a special gun that is also a neat gimmick, turns into a small ultra-light-looking sharp sword.
Is that a force field, or some buff-type spell she cast when she first appears? Notice a blue aura surrounding her when she leaps and kicks people in teh face.
Physics! She back-flip-kicks a "soldier" and he gets thrown against a screen, you see him taking a numeric damage point (if that's what it is, its kinda obvious) upon hitting this screen, neat isnt it?
She uses magic and/or maybe explosives/gadgets: Surrounded by enemies, she uses some sort of spell to freeze time and space in a small area, you see the enemies come to a stop mid-air, as she leaps forward landing a slash on one of the "soldiers", turns back and sends a flaming projectile that explodes and blasts the frozen mobs to next friday, notice that the spell/bomb hits multiple enemies, and this activates a "chain" of sorts. Also to note, physics again. The explosion knocks back enemies and sends them flying around.
No party members, yet. Speculating a single-character game, hopefully itl still be possible to customize your style of play like on all previous installments.
signatures are for pussies mew mew mew, here's mine
Final Fantasy - Bringing you the finest androgynoids since 1987! Gotta love all the sex confusion the androgynous faces produce.
I feel odd now. Seems like I'm the only person not impressed by or excited about this game. If FFXII is Star Wars, FFXIII is the Matrix. I like Star Wars but have never liked the the Matrix. I dislike the whole defying physics gimmick that it and Advent Children have. So many things in that trailer felt wrong to me. I just can't make myself list them and bring too much negativity into this thread.
What I do like is what this new game means for the progression of the series. After the fanboy backlash to the FFXII demo I predicted that XIII would be a very traditional game to appease the fan base. But it looks like Square really is making good on their promise to leave tradition behind and deliver a new and different experience with each installment. Very good for me. I was absolutely sick of the old style and felt that FFX wasn't different enough from ye olde FF. Maybe I won't like FFXIII, but in 6 years or so I expect I'll have a FFXIV to look forward to where after FFX I had nearly abandoned the series.

That's pretty much how I imagined the "Quick" spell in previous games. The one that gives you two free turns. And the AE version of Fire.
Re: Square Enix's PlayStation 3 RPG Final Fantasy XIII
It's now my only incentive to buy a PS3; unfortunately, FFXIII is not worth $660+ to me. Then again, it probably won't be out for a good two years, so maybe I'll find a generous PS3 friend.
