Well I already have a xbox360 which took up quite a lot of money. I've kept enough for a Wii, the main console I want. I'd like to get a ps3 for the exclusive games but these new consoles are just too expensive for me to collect them all.

I plan to get the Wii before any of the other consoles, and the second one I would choose would have to be the PS3. I have a regular XBOX, and while it's pretty good, I simply just don't play it half as much as I play the GameCube and the PS2. My husband and I are both in agreement on this, that Wii is first, followed by PS3, then ... most unlikely, the 360. For me, spending money on the 360 just "to have it" is an incredible waste of money, because truthfully, if I were to buy the 360 it would end up being just for show because I'm not sure I would play it.

Maybe my husband would, but if he wants it that badly, he can buy it himself. :D

I have what you have .. children I cant see spending 600 dollars right now when I have a child in private school. The Wii however is very affordable to me.

Quick question. They keep showing the new zelda coming out for Wii. Is this replacing the one we were supposed to get on GC? Or is it a new one in addition to the one for GC? Nintendo has me so turned around.

Final Fantasy 13 for the win.

If anything, with the extended memory and better graphics, the game duration time will be 100 hours +

I have really high hopes for this game.

With a blu-disc holding 50GB of data, it could easily extend to that long.



I'm not buying a PS3, no... instead I'm buying 2 PS3s. As I've said previously, I'm using one as a test-bed for my own computer. The other, I want because of games coming for it.

Xbox 360 only has two games ever to interest me: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (which is a PC-game and still a possible PS3 game) and Crackdown (knowing the team, it'll easily be exported to PC at least). Wii? I'll buy one, and then we'll see.

They will be releasing the new Zelda on both the Wii and the GC. So everyone can rejoice!

< Early Adopter. Getting the PS3 because I know that Sony caters to my tastes. XB games just. . aren't my cup of tea. Anything that is on the 360 this generation that would appeal to me will easily be on the PS3, especially if it's a High-Profile EA game.

The Wii looks interesting, but it's been so long since I had the tolerance to sit down and churn away at a Zelda or Mario game. I'm not a FPS person, so the new direction Metroid has taken didn't interest me, and I suck major ass at Mario Kart and SSBB (the gameplay aspects of a lot of Ninteno games. . . aren't compatible with me. I think I've been playing too many RPGs. . .)

But I suppose I'll get the Wii. When I was in possession of a Gamecube, it was fun, but this was 2 years after launch and I had about 10 games I could play at any given moment.

I agree there, i just happen to be able to play Oblivion on my PC and that is really the only thing i liked on the 360, since i've always liked the elder scrolls series.

Thats a shame. The Zelda games rank right up there with the FF's. Possibly higher. I know the first Zelda is probably my favorite game. As for the new metroids, if you haven't played them, then I'd suggest atleast trying them. They're a lot different than most FPS's. The auto-targeting gives you more to do with moving and such. Plus several kinda "figure it out" puzzles on how to get places and remembering places to go back to later when you get more upgrades. If you have played it, then you know all this, but there were a lot of people who wouldn't play it simply b/c it was a FPS. Anyway give it a shot.

And, good to know about the new Zelda. Now to decide if I want to play it on GC with a regular controller, or Wii with the wand. Hmmm....

I probably will be getting first the Wii and then the Ps3. I already had the 360 since it came out.

All 3 systems have games I want.

You can get a video card with Video Output and still hook it up to the TV. Pretty cheap too.

Makes buying FFXI for the 360 a bit pointless, as I got a nice 15" HDTV (Black Friday prices were at $129; it was a steal). Hooked my video card to it and set my graphics to 1024x764, and viola! An XBOX 360 minus the new and enhanced effects!

Sure, my PC doesn't look as sleek and sexy as the 360, but it works. =D

Well I originally wanted to get all 3. I have a 360 and I'm still extremely interested in getting a Wii.

PS3...while I originally wanted to get...now...Sony dropped the ball.
-Dualshock controller SUCKS for all but games that use the D-Pad heavily.
-$600 price tag....I'm not spending almost my entire paycheck on a console.
-Tilt sensor...."innovation" my ass...it just so happened to get announced after Nintendo announced thier controller? Phht...
-PSP to PS3 compatibility was "innovative" according to the E3 press release...oh, you mean the same thing that the GameCube has been doing for years with the GBA and even the N64 had it somewhat with the transfer pack?
-Hurray...more shooting and racing games....joy...../sarcasm
-Blue Ray: huge component in the high price. What do we get from paying a lot more money? Not having to get up and change the disc after 20 hours of gameplay. Now I can be real lazy. Blue Ray do NOT improve performance. Just storage. I'm sorry, I'd rather have 10 DVDs than one Blue Ray. It is obvious Sony is just trying to push out thier new technology and in the end we are all paying more for the PS3.


Though....Square is making games for them...perhaps I'll get one when the price drops.... significantly....and hope it doesn't wear out like my PS2.

i have an xbox360. i love it

wii doesnt interest me. remote is a gimmick. its like buying a toy rather than a video game system

as lame as sony is for their ps3 controller, the ps3 is exciting. ffxiii, mgs4, madden 07, all look amazing and the blu ray player, "playstation live" service for free, ect. for those complaining about the price, you have alot of time between now and november to save up money!whining wont lower the price
