Protoss + Galka = Draeni



As I always do, and always shall when the opportunity arises, I'm criticising World of Warcraft. The female is basically a reskined Night Elf /shock and the male looks nothing like the concept pictures they had drawn. I think their goal is to completely douse their player base in pretty colors until they can no longer discern between fun and arduous.

According to their lore they're demons that can travel through space who were blessed by some sort of space pope so now they can become Paladins.

It's also rumored there's a Warcraft movie in the making. Blizzard could shit in a can and their fans would eat it up.

I dunno if this was your point or not, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I don't really have an issue with their aesthetic. FFXI is a little gray and washed out in my opinion. If WoW wants to be all super-saturated that's a valid choice to me. What I will criticise is the character on the right looks very low poly and flatly textured, while character on the left is animated in a pose that looks like it would require several dislocated joints to achieve.

I hope these aren't representative of the final models, textures, and animation for these characters.

1) Wow. (no pun intended) This tops how the orcs allied with the blood elves, and aren't orcs supposed to want to distance themselves from demonic power, while these blood elves lust for it?

2) A movie, you say? How in the world can they get a good movie out of an MMO?! I can see single player games yielding movies, but even FFXI I don't think can churn out a movie worth 2 cents!

God, Blizzard's games are just way to color rich. A dislike about their products that annoys me so much. Like Simon said "I wanted apple pie and instead I get apple pie with a gallon of cream on top. Just way over the top".
