I've played Guilty Gear for quite some time now, I've gotta say it's still the best fighter out there.
Looking forward to Guilty Gear Judgement and GGXX Slash :D

It's a really great game to get into. It's got a lot of technical depth, but can still be just as fun for beginners. Not to mention, it's got some of the most awesome character designs ever.

I personally favor Ky Kiske, low tier or not. Glad he is revamped in Slash a little.
The game is mostly freeform in general, with alot of people in there having outrageous and whacky abilities that dynamically seperate them from the typical MK ninjas or SF karate fighters. To balance it they have a variety of subsystems to help counter the crazyness o_o; and it works out.
They have an awesome rock soundtrack for every character that it was based off of, and also graphics that rival SF: Third Strike as well as diverse and unique characters. So unique that some people say, theres no two Venoms in the game that play the same, and other stuff like Millia being able to control her hair, Venom having the most versitle projectile(he puts out suspended pool balls out and can knock/fire at will), or Bridget's Yoyo or Johnny's limited(but combo continious) coins etc etc. Its pretty crazy o_o and yeah i love it. The story is also damn interesting as well.
I like GG a little. I use Bridgette, I was into it at one point but I did not like Isuka. The turning around thing threw me off.
I still stick to the good ole SNK vs fighters(which all new ones are now on Atomswave the same hardware system used by GG).
Hori retreated from battle. What a coward.

I picked it up the first day it came out on PS2 and I bought GGXX and GGIsuka. GGXX is my personal favorite but I left it in my PS2 when I exchanged it for a newer one. =(
Millia is definitely my favorite character, although it surprised me in Isuka where you can't roll underneath the enemy anymore, and they also put a delay landing when you use the move to ground yourself.
What platforms are these newer games being released on, and if released on PS2 will they feature online play? Nobody plays where I live and I would like to see how well I would do against human opponents, the computer is way too easy to read even on the highest difficulty levels.
I mostly use Millia Rage and Bridget. I tend to like speed over power in fighting games, to the point where I can't even play "heavy" characters at all. The sheer amount of ridiculous things you can do with roman cancels is just plain lovely. The soundtrack is one of my favorites. I'd recommend the Sound Alive disc to just about anyone.

Guilty Gear XX Slash got released on PS2, but you'd have to import it and have a swap magic too.
There are rumors the next-gen GG is gonna be on Xbox 360 but for some reason I don't think that'll happen.
I use Faust and button bash most of the time. Hilarity ensues!

Zappa and Dizzy are my mains, but I also play Robo-Ky and can handle almost every character to some extent, except Eddie and I-No.
I've got around a dozen people I play with regularly here in Alaska, though I've been out of practice since I moved out to the boonies for school for an IT course. I did get Slash last month though.
