kingdom hearts would be great besides the fact the storyline gets a little deeper then most disney movies (im playing KH2 right now!), maybe for gc that that mario sunshine game and whats his faces mansion those would be great kids games

When I was 5, I played "Final Fantasy III" for the SNES, and I remember actually having fun...
I couldn't read -at all-, though, so I always loaded games that were saved on the cartridge, and once, when I started a new game, I though I unlocked something.

It was also pretty bad, because I remember doing some pretty stupid stuff.
I went into a store and sold all of my equipment, because it made my money go up.
All I could see was that I was pressing buttons, and my money was going up...

Ok, ok. ^^ I'll start him small with Zelda, Crystalis, Megaman and Life Force. Those were my favorite games when I was a little nerdling. Anybody got a cart of the TMNT arcade game? Or maybe >_> some alternate method of playing it?

We'll move up to SoM later. I totally forgot that game had multiplayer. The midget black mage was such a totally broken bosskiller ... >_> {Hmm.}

I'll probably still look into Mario Party since that seems like a good family game til he gets the coordination to play Smash Brothers. (At which point he'll probably already be able to hand me my ass.)

if i remember right there are old school nes and snes ports on gba if you really want him to play the old school games, also theres a new tmnt game on the GC well not knew but it should be easier to get a hold of then the older arcade version and i think it has up to 4 players

Nah, I've got the original carts. Besides, the experience just isn't the same without putting the cartridge to your lips and breathing life into it before you play.

I remember doing that so much when I got a Nes for my birthday , at 5 XD. A great game was Duck Hunt & that running game, whatever it was. . . hey, it was Exersize(sp), on the NES! Actually had a running pad with it, I had fun with that one.

Props to whoever first said Contra. One of the greatest games ever. If you have a SNES, the Star Wars games are great, especially RotJ. I actually think I have TMNT 4 for SNES. I'll have to look for it at the house, but if you want I have no problem sending it to you. It never gets played so I have no problem parting with it. Especially if it means someone else can enjoy a game I used to play.
Don't forget about the Metroids, both for NES and SNES. Pretty straight forward and a lot of fun. Especially since the first one is retardedly hard in that you never know where you are unless you play it for forever. (Last time I beat it I just happened along Ridley)

I think the one I'm looking for is TMNT2. I haaated the first Metroid. So hard and so easy to get lost since so many screens are practically identical. Super Metroid on the other hand, played the crap out of that game. I think my record is 100% items in 1:58. The trouble with that game, is which of my three sentimental voyages-I mean save slots to clear so he can play.

Hmmm, I think your best bet on TMNT 2 would be ebay.
Oh, Rygar for NES was great too. Nothing like beating your enemies with a shield on a chain.

Not even going to go into the console game I was playing at 4 year old. Seeing as it was almost 31 years ago I'm sure you can imagine the level of graphic sophistication.

Yep...lol.

It was amazing in that if the paddles were horizontal you were playing football (soccer) or squash, and if vertical you were playing tennis.

Lol, well I had it a little better atleast. I remember having an Atari when I was real little, then I think Nintendo came out when I was 8 (it came out in the states in '88 right?). So I got to experience Mario, Metroid, Link, and a few others when I was little. I remember getting Dragon Warrior (aka Dragon Quest) when Nintendo was offering it with a subscription to their magazine. Then right when SNES came out, I was out of town for a week, our house was broken into and it was stolen. Oh well, I've since gotten one of Ebay and about burnt out every game on there.
And games not to get your kid. TMNT 1. That game was just unreal hard. Seriously, I don't know anyone who ever even got close to beating that game.
