:p
But seriously, stuff I'll likely get:
August:
Dragon's Crown
Tales of Xillia
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Disney Infinity
Killer Is Dead
September:
Rayman: Legends
Puppeteer
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix
Somewhere in that mix is probably going to be Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, and likely Rain as well. That's before we even start talking GTA5 or next gen anything.
I did end up picking up Dynasty Warriors 8 (thanks Firewind!). Now to just find time to play it...

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Arcade stick arrived yesterday and I began the arduous process of learning to use it while playing Street Fighter IV. The first thing I noticed is how sluggish SF4 feels compared to Third Strike. I'm sure some of it is just me adjusting to a new input device, but even the movement of the characters seems less fluid and there's more splash to the graphics that makes the visuals all feel a little sloppy. Third Strike was so precise and compact, but SF4 feels like they're just letting everything hang out. The fireballs in particular make it jump out at me. There's just a whole bunch of extra particle effects and flame trails that it's not entirely clear where the hitbox is at any given moment. I'm sure I'll learn it soon enough, but as an out-of-the-box experience SF4 feels very rough around the edges, whereas any edges in Third Strike were intentional and crafted with laser accuracy.
Then again maybe I'm just bitter that I still can't play Third Strike on the PC.
The learning curve on this stick is nuts. I can barely pull off hadokens and shoryukens, and half the time I do anything at all I end up jumping by accident. This is gonna take some work to get settled into.Server: Midgardsormr -> Quetzalcoatl -> Valefor

Re: What games are you currently playing?
When I played Third Strike years ago I abused the hell out of the d-pad and got pretty good with it. That said, there was always some stuff I couldn't pull off, like certain EX moves due to button placement and a lack of sufficient thumb dexterity. Hitting medium and light punches or kicks together was pretty uncomfortable/difficult. Charge moves were tricky and anything that involved a 360 motion was completely out of the question. With the arcade stick I'm already seeing charge moves being way easier to execute than with a controller, or at least they will be once I adjust to using the stick.Server: Midgardsormr -> Quetzalcoatl -> Valefor

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Started a new playthrough of Persona 4 Golden with a brand new save so no NG+. It's going to be an attempt at maxing Social Links in one go on a fresh save. I give myself until the second dungeon before I somehow screw it up and just sad "Sod it I'll play it normally and max out on the New Game+".
As for games I am looking forward to:
August:
Payday: The Heist 2 [PC]
Europa Universalis IV [PC]
Dragon's Crown [Vita Import]
Tales of Xillia [PS3] - Worldwide Release, FUCK YEAH!
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified [PC]
Etrian Odyssey IV [3DS]
Fire Emblem Awakening - Smash Brethren DLC [3DS]
Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning [3DS]
Saints Row IV [PC]
Skullgirls [PC Release]
Killer is Dead [PS3]
FFXIV ARR [PC]
September:
Rome Total War 2 [PC]
Soul Hackers [3DS]
October:
Pokemon X/Y [3DS]
Batman: Arkham Origins [PS3]
Expect SMT IV to be thrown into the mix if we get a 2013 release date on that as well as FFX/X2 HD. I'll probably at least give GTAV a go too to see if it's as fun as Rockstar are promising but I'm pretty wary of trusting a thing they say after how they treated gamers with GTA IV's release.
Also curiously no 360 games. Even on the multiplatform games I drift towards PC or PS3 because there is literally no 360 exclusive that even interests me personally.Rahal Gerrant - Balmung - 188 DRK

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Well, my game's improved a bit on HotS - I'm in top 3 Diamond for 2v2 randoms, and I've moved up to Gold league in 1v1 - I have a hard time in duels, just too much pressure and apm.
Still, yay! Also, Gearbox just announced another DLC pack is in the works, though it won't be included with the season pass apparently (which is bs) as well as yet another hard mode, UVHM2.0 or something like that. It's $5 and will raise the level cap from 61 to 72.
That's actually really, really crazy as Axton will be pretty much unstoppable at that level with a dedicated Sentry Gun build - Likewise for Salvador with a Money Shot build I mean good GOD...

Rogue Legacy. Fun game. Randomly generated dungeon, every time you die you pick one of 3 randomly generated descendants with a variety of imperfections (e.g. Colorblindness). Very difficult!

Someone Tricked a Choice Scarf onto my Jolteon and created a monster. OU replay: Rahal vs. Vargoroth - Pokémon Showdown

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Shadowrun Returns. I'm having a lot of fun with this and anyone that liked the original Mega Drive game or liked old RPGs like Baldur's Gate should pick it up. it is finally fun to have an RPG where you actually roleplay, rather than just stabbing or shooting things for loot, scanning for minerals or shouting at dragons.
Pros: A clever mix of influences from the original tabletop game and the retro console titles, that introduces the bizarre game world with surprising grace. Plenty of depth and roleplay options, apart from in combat.
Cons: The lack of a manual save is needlessly punishing, especially as the game is generally a bit too easy. The single campaign is quite short and almost entirely linear though more content will come soon for free.Rahal Gerrant - Balmung - 188 DRK

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix
In Birth by Sleep, Mickey knew that Xehanort was evil by the end of the game and that he had possessed Terra. His dialogue in Dream Drop Distance suggests he was aware of that much.
So why, in a flashback of Kingdom Hearts II, did he not give much thought to an individual serving as Ansem's apprentice who is named Xehanort and bears a strong resemblance to Terra?
EDIT: Also, I seem to be the extreme minority when I say I think 358/2 Days is the best entry in the series.Last edited by Ketaru; 07-31-2013, 06:57 PM.sigpic
