Re: What games are you currently playing?
Its actually rather amazing to me how much less daunting the EXP totals are in SMT IV compared to their predecessors. Right now my TNL is like 70k whereas in Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga and even the persona games the worst it got was 40kish I believe.
Even with the higher TNLs you have Quest EXP, Challenge Quest EXP (sometimes repeatable). EXP for doing Demon fusions (and the higher level the demon, the more EXP, did I mention there's an app that adds and EXP modifier?) and there's also an app that adds a modifier for engaging in demon conversations, too. Whether you're shaking them down for items or money or recruiting them to join your party, so long as you engage in the conversation - successful results or not - the modifier is applied.
There were fights that might have fetched me 5k EXP due to two or three waves of enemies, but so long as I got that conversation in, I walked away with like 7500 EXP. .
It begs the question why they even thought they had to make another modifier available in DLC. And I've already fused more demons that Nocturne actually had. I think Nocturne capped out at 147 demons and I'm already past 150... of the 400+ that are in here.
Also despite some of the Kamen Rider artists being involved, I do have to say many of the new demons stand beside Kazuma Kaneko's work quite well... except Medusa, who looks well...
Yeah, she's a bit over-the-top next to the Kaneko demons. Still, once you can make her in fusion she's not bad for the level you can get her at. Kept her around for a few bosses.
