Also - Finally caught one of the little SOBs. Jesus H Christ do they ever take a tonne of EXP to level too - 13k just to go from level 1->2!!! They max at 5, then 6 and then 8 I think for his final 2 forms but the stats... dear God, 777 evasion and over 400 magic defense! Freaking super tanks wtf. I'm also just starting to see how stupidly OP the Draco is once you start leveling and evolving them... so much attack...

Of course, my Naja can run circles around him but really, all you need is warcry + earsplitter and trash mobs die.

Yup. Warcry + Earsplitter + some ATK boosting gear = gg for everything, even bosses (see: final boss and its swarm of satellites).

Dinoceros is amazeballs in Ni No Kuni. Toko's just an XP grinder. Way too annoying to level up, and still vulnerable to auto-hit physical AoE like Earsplitter.

I'm a little miffed now at how much chocolate I've fed to my Naja... I still like it for how fast it attacks, but geez... normally I take the folks on GameFAQs with several grains of salt, but they were right about this guy - he's EZ mode. Especially since if used by Oliver, he gains +10% to all his stats o_O

Dinoceros > Naja. Note that Dinoceros is Dragon-type, which also one of Oliver's favored types. I have six Dinos captured I think, and they let me pretty much steamroll everything, including farming Tokos (they can't dodge Earsplitter so they just die).

Have a new team for Pokemon Showdown that is actually supposed to be competitive which I'm actually liking. Test games with a friend of mine have had mostly positive results.

(Yes I know that there are mistakes on both sides in that replay but we are both ironing out kinks in our respective teams).

Just finished Borderlands. The ending was a bit abrupt, but the rest of the game was enjoyable enough that I can forgive that. I'm really keen to either look into the DLC or the sequel, but I've also hit burnout right as I finished so I'll probably wait until those go on sale before getting back into it again.

They did so much right with the audio and the visual design of this game. It really blows my mind how many little things they got right. Little stuff like the twirl when you pick up a gun don't seem important, but a lot of small things like that add up to make the game very endearing.

So I made a DragMag team on Pokemon Showdown for a laugh. Ended up with a trollishly Anti-metagame team:
